Day turned night and it was blood bag central here in mystic falls, macy was already down 2 bodies and saw another pinned up in a tree when Alaric saltsman lit up the town.
Police came around, cleaned up the scene and reported another 2 bodies around the back of the mystic grill. May or may not be Macy's doing.
Then she started to see a few more vampires than usual, a few more that she read about, and few she had encounters with and swear she drove a stake through there hearts.
She saw her mother.
The switch jiggled, she was confused, maybe it was the blood high, all the alcohol she drank but she was staring into her mothers soul.
"Macy?" Her mom shouted, in macy eyes she looked just the same, dark feature, long brown hair and the same necklace that macy had around her neck. It was her.
"Mom" the switch jiggled again
"Macy oh my macy moo." She tan toward the girl and engulfed her in a hug
"Your dead." Macy said as her mom squeezed her tighter "you shouldn't be here."
"I know macy listen sweetheart." Her mom said cupping either side of her face
"I haven't got much time, they're sending us back, they're sending us all back, but I need you to listen"
"You're dead." Macy stood there emotionless and in disbelief
"Flick the switch, you need to flick the switch." Her mom begged
"No, no way I can't." Macy said backing away from her mom
"Please macy, it what makes you, you, you picked up your whole life, brought yourself here and saved people you don't even know, your too caring to not care my sweet macy moo." Her mom pleaded
"Caring got me dead mom, like you, caring for me got you dead, god I'm happy you and dad died cause to think you'd still teach me about caring, I'm glad I can't care anymore, I'm glad I don't care for you." Macy laughed as she heard her name being shouted for again
"Macy" she heard a girl shout, she turned her head to see elena, then turned her head back to see her mom gone
"Macy, oh my god, how are you here" elena said running over and engulfing the girl in a hug
"I um, the ghosts around, I guess I'm part of it" macy came up with the biggest bullshit she could muster
"But Lexie just left, h-how are you still here?" Elena asked coming from the hug as macy didn't hug her back
"Stefan didn't tell you?" Macy asked
"Didn't tell me what?" Elena asked
"They've been keeping secrets from you." Macy chuckled and elena looked at her puzzled
"Let's just say I'm not your friendly neighbourhood vampire hunter anymore." Macy showed Elena her teeth and ran her tongue against them
"Damon's blood." Elena said and macy nodded
"So why didn't you come back, I've needed your help, stefans humanity is off, I can't find Damon anywhere, they're making me worried sick." Elena rambled
"Is it nice? Having the 2 wrapped around your finger?" Macy asked and elena looked taken back
"What?"
"The Salvatore brothers? They were yours before, they're now yours again, I bet you love that." Macy said and elena shook her head
"What's wrong with you."
"See I'm pretty sure Damon knows I'm alive, but he hasn't tried to find me, he's been too preoccupied with you, so, you've got the 2 Salvatore brothers back, how does it feel"
"Your humanity." Elena asked
"Oh elena, elena, elena, like I told your boyfriend, ex boyfriend, whatever you wanna call him, life is so much better with the lights off"
