Lucas
I woke up, pretty normally actually in the beginning, like a normal person I rubbed the normal crust out of my normal eyes and yawned a normal yawn from my normal mouth of my normal face. And then I flipped on my side, and Atticus was gone.

I ran to Avner and my hands hovered over his pulsing body, each breath in anxiety and each breath out relief, Avner was very different when he wasn't cracking jokes, being sarcastic, or flirting, I thought that it would be stupid to wake Avner up, besides Atticus could just be an early riser.

I tiptoed outside to come face to face with Ivy. Her breath smelled like peppermint, she had just brushed he teeth, her long curls were frizzy and she reminded me of Lyla. I was almost falling for another girl. Almost. I still had a place in my heart for Lyla.

"Where is Elery."

"I don't know! Where's Atticus?!"

She took a breath to calm herself, I realized I was still in my pajamas, but she didn't seem to care. "Have you checked any other rooms."

"No, I just woke up."

"Well neither have I. There's no need to act like someone had just stolen our left toe, I really wasn't fond of either of them even if something did happen." Ivy grinned.

"Hey, Elery was nice."

"Ha," she laughed, something I wasn't quite capable of yet "whatever you say Lucas my friend."

"Well let's check the other rooms."

Ivy nodded solemnly, then slowly, as if we wanted to put off what we would see we peered into the kitchen. Neither were there, in the room of Montonia. Neither were there, in the bathroom where part of Ivy's toothpaste she had found in here new bin was clinging on the the drain.

"They aren't here!" She whispered exasperatedly

"I know."

"Maybe they went into the red swirled room."

She began walking but I grabbed her wrist. As Ivy struggled against my grip I looked her straight in the eye, something I didn't do to often when talking to people.

"Sawyer said never go in there. We will respect what he said."

"He's dead." She argued as I let go of her hand. I immediately felt bad when she looked at me with her now somber gray eyes.

"I know, but I don't want to die. Sawyer was a risk taker, trust me, if he said something was dangerous it has to be fatal."

"Fine." She looked at the ground, still hurt.

"Hey, we could check if they went into the mansion."

She nodded and we plodded to the black door with a silver swirl. Reluctantly I pushed open the door, and plumes of dust poured out. After the flying bunnies of dirt cleared I could see inside. Ivy's face fell as mine did when I first saw it. I was expecting to walk out onto a giant balcony, overlooking a maze filled with creatures and treasures, but no.

Instead you could see a hallway, with wood paneled halfway up and beige the rest. On either side the hallway would turn, and sometimes you would come onto a balcony. Lyla told me she had one time.

"Look down." Ivy whispered.

I indeed saw two sets of footprints heading left down the hall. And then the other two joined behind us. We would have to break the news to poor Ariza. Sure she had mystery but I felt bad for her in this moment. Atticus and Elery went into the Mansion. No preparation what so ever.

They were going to die out there

Elery
As Atticus and I pushed open the door, I was kind of disappointed at the Mansion. Just a hallway. But as we progressed things got very strange.
