Detention

Mr McGowan: I'm so disappointed in you guys what. What were you doing in there?

You look at Mathew for an answer but he looks back at you.

Mr McGowan sighs. As he opens a class room door.

Mr McGowan: Each of you on opposite sides. You two are gonna sit in here and think about what you've done. He locks you both inside the classroom.

Nia: Mathew what are we gonna do?

Mathew: It's okay just calm down. We didn't do anything wrong. Right?

You stare deep into his eyes.

Nia: I don't think we did anything wrong?

You give him a flirty smile.

Nia: Why do think he locked us in here?

Mathew: I'm not sure.

McGowan comes back.

McGowan: You're free to go.

He takes a deep breath and brushes his hair back.

McGowan: Don't let me ever catch you guys again.

The time is now 3:55PM. Most of the students gone home. You and Mathew walk to the train station.

Mathew: So?

You turn toward him.

Nia: Soo?

Mathew: You have any plans right now?

Nia: Well I was gon go home.

Mathew: Come with me.

Nia: Where?

Mathew: A really nice spot.

You walk up to the platform of the train station. The train approaches that station.

Mathew: Nia watch out.

He grabs you by your arm and pulls you in. Your bodies crash together.

Mathew: You were standing too close, I didn't want you to get hit.

Nia: I wasn't even close to it.

You laugh.

Nia: If you wanted to touch me you know you could've.

You guys step on to the train.

I'll keep that in mind next time.

You guys sit down in the two seater. the train is fairly empty. He grabs your hand.

Mathew: So tell me, where have you been?

Nia: Mathew, I cant talk about this right now. I'll tell you, just not now.

Mathew: I'll be here when you're ready.

He tightens his grip on your hand. the train doors open. You notice a familiar person walk on. It's Allan. allan makes eye contact with you and walks toward you.

Allan: Well isn't it nice to see you.

Mathew: Who are you?

Allan: You must be the little guy i've heard all about. Whisking my girl around huh?

Nia: Stop it Allan.

Allan: Listen here you're gonna leave Nia alone okay?

Mathew: Or what?

Allan pulls out a knife.

Allan: I'll get my niggas to line you.

Mathew let's go of your hand and slaps Allan. They break out into a fight.
