She always loved the rain,
And the crash of thunder strike...
Found peace in a lightning storm.

He showed her a storm he could be,
Watering flowers with each tear drop,
Flooding valleys into deep lakes.

So intensely, it all consumed him.
The trickle turned into a downpour,
He couldn't help, but let it pour out.

The clouds got darker, and water overflowing.
As it continued to rain down on her,
He was drowning her with his love.

She hesitated at such intensity.
Took a step back from the electricity.
Swam up for air for just a moment.

He gave her the storm she loved so dearly,
Just as quickly as he claimed her,
His heart quickly grew bitter, and petty.

Pained by her hesitation, his eyes shifted.
When she came back down she found,
Already he found another to rain down on.

Author's Note:
I'm trying to make an author's note for every chapter. Poem can be so short, and interpreted differently for each reader. I love hearing the thoughts, and perspective a poem or story has on another person. For me, this poem is about a young love that ends before it begins. A love bomber, and a girl quick to run. Some are not patient for love, and they are ready to give it out to anyone... while others let love pass them by.
