the reasons i wasn't updating varied between i didn't have anything interesting, no ideas, i was taking a break, i was focusing on other stuff and then just having SO many thoughts on lore and not knowing whether i should write abt them here bc this is LOTR rants and not LOTR LORE/SILMARILLION rants but idk maybe i'll publish a few here we'll see

these are the (spoiler-blurred) notes for an absolute ESSAY of a chapter im working on rn, about aralas and aragorn and legolas together and separately, and every single scene they had together in the original trilogy (which i'm rewatching again FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES) and giving y'all my aralas fic recs masterlist, which is also on my tumblr rn, among other things like a full historical analysis of aragorn/arwen and aragorn/legolas and how history repeats itself in the legendarium
