Edmund slowly opened his eyes and blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the light streaming in through his window. It took him a moment to realize where he was, and then he remembered that he was in his new room in Beacon Hills. His father's sudden death had led him and his family to move to this mysterious town as part of his father's will.

As he lay there in bed, Edmund thought about the argument he had with his mother the night before. They had been arguing about his father, and Edmund had said some hurtful things. He knew he needed to apologize, but he didn't want to do it over the phone. He decided he would apologize in person when he saw her.

Edmund got out of bed and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower.

After his shower, Edmund headed downstairs to apologize to his mother, but she was already off to work. He sighed and headed out the door to meet Wendy and William, who were waiting for him outside.

"Morning, Ed," Wendy said with a smile.

"Hey, guys," Edmund replied, feeling a little more relaxed now that he was with his friends.

They walked to school together, and when they arrived, William headed to the lacrosse field to help Coach Finstock train the players. Edmund headed to his locker to put his stuff away, and that's when he saw Allison enter the hallway with a girl he hadn't met before.

"Hey, who's that?" Edmund asked, nodding his head in the direction of the girl.

"That's Lydia," Allison said with a smile. "She's in our grade, but we don't have any classes with her."

Edmund nodded and smiled politely as Allison introduced him to Lydia. He couldn't help but notice how pretty she was, with her long red hair and bright green eyes. But he quickly pushed those thoughts aside and focused on being friendly.

Later that day, Edmund and his sister were in the cafeteria, eating their lunch. Scott and Stiles joined them, and Scott introduced Stiles to them.

As they chatted, Edmund noticed Gerald Argent enter the cafeteria. Gerald was the new principal, and Edmund recognized him as the hunter that chopped the omega in half. He tried to act natural as he continued to eat his lunch, but he couldn't help feeling a little uneasy around the man.

As Gerald walked around the cafeteria, Edmund noticed him watching the students closely. He couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right about the man. But he decided not to say anything to his friends, not wanting to alarm them. For now, he would keep an eye on Gerald and see if he could figure out what the man was up to.

As Edmund and Wendy sat in the cafeteria, munching on their sandwiches, they couldn't help but talk about their encounter with Gerald Argent earlier that morning.

"He gave me the creeps," Wendy whispered to Edmund. "Did you see the way he was looking at us?"

Edmund nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I know what you mean. And I can't believe he's Allison's grandfather. She's nothing like him."

Scott and Stiles joined them at the table, and Scott introduced Stiles to Wendy. "Hey, this is Stiles. He's my best friend," Scott said.

"Nice to meet you," Wendy said, smiling at Stiles.

Stiles smiled back. "Likewise. So, what's the topic of discussion?"
