Ch.9 Off to the lab we go!

"Really?" I ask again, I can't believe that it worked.

"Sigh. How many times do I have to repeat this Asean? The revival was a success, and if you still don't believe me, then come over here and see for yourself. I need to go, Germany is calling for me... Also, bring EU with you."

Beep, beep....

I place the phone down. It's just that I can't understand how it would work. I mean, it had a very low chance that it would work, but still... Wait, why am I even thinking about this? I can just see for myself. I quickly put on my jacket and grabbed my bag and keys.

I ran through the hallways, bumping into someone.

"AGAY!" ( Ouch!) "P-Phil! "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," Philip said. He looked around him and started picking up the papers he dropped. "S-sorry! Let me help you with those" I need to pay attention to where I'm running to.

I picked up the remaining papers, read one, and noticed that it had my name on it. "Are these for me?" I offer my hand to help him up.

Phil takes my hand and gets up, dusting his pants before handing Asean the rest of the papers. "Yes, papa, these are the papers you asked for, Canada asked me to give them to you." "The one about the problems on the ocean borders?"

"I don't know, I didn't read them." I took the papers and read them.

"These are the ones, good."

I look Phil in the eyes. Should I tell him about the revival? He would be happy to see his parents if  they got revived. His brothers would be there too. No, I can't. I need to make sure first. I don't want to give him false hope. –

"sean...PAPA ASEAN!" I flinch; I must've zoned out. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine, Philip," I smile at him. "Phili, if you don't mind, can you take these papers to my office?" "I'm in a hurry right now."

"Oh! Okay!" Phil smiles, making the room light up. I smile as I squint my eyes; they are so bright... Luckily, the bright light soon dies down, and I hand him the paperwork.

"Thank you, Phil. Just put them on my desk, make sure they don't get blown away." Phil takes the papers and gives a salute with a smile.

"Yes, sir!" I chuckle. I smile and say, "I'll see you around, Phil." I patted his shoulder and left.

I got in the car and drove to the EU's office.

"Euro!" I yelled as I burst through his office door. Eu yelped in surprise, "A-Asi?" He stuttered, "What are you doing here?"

"O-one moment." I lean on the door, trying to catch my breath. I walked over to him, and he gave me a confused look.

"What is it?" He asked. I slammed my hands on his desk, and he flinched. "Asi? "Is something wrong?"

"We need to go now." I grab him by the wrist, leading him out of the office. "W-what?!, "Where are we going?" He asks as he tries to put on his jacket.

"Uni called."

"Is it an emergency?"

I stopped to think. It's not urgent, but I'd like to be there as soon as I can. I face him and say,

"Well, not really, but it's important."

"Okay?"

We get to the car, and EU sits in the passenger seat next to me and crosses his arms.

"I'd like an explanation as to why you've suddenly kidnapped me from my work," he asked, raising a brow at me.

I slam my hands on the wheel. " OKAY! SO!" I took a deep breath.

(" do you remember that project we started like 100 years ago well Uni called just now he said that it worked and he wants us to go there and see it")

"wait, wait! Slow down! "Take a breath!" Eu grabbed a water bottle and gave it to Asean, who was panting.

"Thank you." I took a sip of the water and closed it. "So that's that. Did you get anything that I said?" EU looked at him confused, he processed his thoughts. "Okay, okay, so you were saying something about a project that we started?" Asean nodded. "And it worked?"

"Yes! Isn't that amazing!"

"Stop," Eu said, pushing Asean's face away from him. He sighed and asked, "Which project?"

"You don't remember?"

"No, it's not like that; it's just that we started so many projects, and I can't tell which one you're talking about."

"O-oh," I smile. I decide not to tell him; I want to see his reaction when he sees it for himself. "you'll see" I pulled out of the parking space and started driving to the lab, humming a random tune I made in my head. Eu sighed as he looked out the window.

"You are so weird," he whispered.

"I know."

Eu just sighed and looked out the window with a smile. ___________________________________________

Both of them pushed open the doors to the lab at the same time, causing the workers to jolt from the loud noise. They ignored the stares and kept walking.

"So, why are we here exactly?" EU asked.

"I think it's better to have Uni explain." I looked around and saw a worker leaning on a wall drinking coffee. I walked over to him. "Excuse me," I look at his name tag, "umm... Jeff? Do you know where the UN is?" He nods.

"He should be in his office by now; he's been waiting for you, sir Asean." "Thank you," I grab EU by the hand, "let's go."

We made it to the office and paused for a bit. We looked at each other. I moved my head, signaling him to knock on the door. He shakes his head, pointing to me and telling me to do it. I shake my head, there is no way I am going to risk opening that door. We stare into each other's eyes, having a nonverbal argument about who should open the door.

Suddenly, the door opens.

We flinched in surprise when the UN suddenly opened the door. I looked at him from head to toe; he looked terrible. His hair was messy, and his white polo was wrinkly and even had some ink stains. He looked like he hadn't slept in weeks.

"Finally," he rolled his eyes, "what took you two so long? Come in." I looked at Eu, who just shrugged his shoulders, following in after Un. I sigh; this is going to be a long, long talk.
