Chapter 101 - Marriage ("Don't be afraid, Lili, I

Xu Lisa stood up and pulled away from him. "Shen Mingyu, I don't know what had happened between the two of us that gave you the wrong idea that we are very close to each other but I am with Mu Jungkook now, despite the fact that JJK had gone bankrupt.."

She was only half way before when Shen Mingyu
interrupted her. "Lisa, I know you have sympathy
for Mu Jungkook, which was why you chose to stay
with him even after JJK had gone bankrupt. I
even know that she had already gone home with him
and met with his family. But, Lisa, I can wait. Do
you understand? I can wait until your sympathy for
him has passed."

Xu Lisa looked at him coldly, "What I have for him
is not sympathy."

"What is it then? To marry into a prestigious family?
Lisa, the Shen's rival the Mu's as far as statuses
go," said Shen Mingyu in a low voice. "Why would you want to waste your time on him and kiss up to his grandmother and stepmother instead of giving the Shen's a chance? My parents are very easy going and you'd know if you meet them."

Shen Mingyu looked behind her as he talked. noticing something odd in his look, Xu Lisa, too, turned around quickly. She saw a slightly chubby man who immediately went inside of the stairway after giving them a look.

The chubby man looked very family but Xu Lisa
couldn't quite recall who he was right away. When she turned back around, she saw an indescribable look on Shen Mingyu

It looked like Shen Mingyu knew that man.

Xu Lisa suddenly recalled what that chubby man
the night of Bai Fei's birthday, Mu Jungkook
brought a few of Bai Jimin's bodyguards and beat up a chubby man. That was the same chubby man that Mu Jungkook had beaten up.

He was one of Mu Jiyong's. Mu Jiyong was a
cunning one. He pretended that everything was fine
and dandy but secretly sent someone to follow her....
did the mean the chubby man had heard all of Shen Mingyu's crazy words?

Xu Lisa gritted her teeth and violently shoved the
script inside of her purse. "Pardon me."

The audition of "Plainness" went smoothly. Once the
audition was over the director team announced on
the spot that Xu Lisa would be second female lead.

Even though Xu Lisa tried very hard to pour all
of her concentration and effort into the script, but
she was still bothered by what had happened before the audition.

She didn't know what Mu Jiyong would do with that
piece of information but she felt that it's best she told Mu Jungkook the entire incident so there wouldn't be any misunderstanding.

That being said, this incident could be looked at
differently. Plus, the entertainment circle was a
messy place to begin with. This might be nothing to
Mu Jungkook originally but, had she made a point of
bringing it up purposefully, would make it seem like
she had something to hide.

She debated between the two possibilities and wasn't
able to make a decision right away.

She hadn't seen Mu Jungkook the entire day and she just locked herself up at home and watched drama on TV while enjoying her fried chicken. She wanted to use other beautiful romance to heal her own heart. She received a call from Xiao Rose at 8 PM. "Hello, Lisa-jie. What are you doing right now?"

Xu Lisa recalled that Xiao Rose had "Plainness"s
script in hand that afternoon and exhorted her spent
time studying it and familiarizing herself with it and
appreciate this opportunity that didn't come easily. Xu Lisa, on the other hand, had spent way too much
time worrying about matters related to Mu Jungkook
and hadn't been listening to what Xiao Rose had told
her.

By now, it was too late to turn down the volume of the TV.

From the other end, Xiao Rose's voice was so loud
that it could shatter a few glasses. "Lisa-jie,
'Plainness' is about to start soon. How do you have
time to watch TV??"

Xu Lisa cleared her throat and lied seriously.

"L... I... I... I am studying other's acting. I am watching
period drama also."
