Today was the day of the debutante ball,the day Belly has been waiting for this whole summer

As the fisher brothers were in the kitchen Jeremiah was catching cereal in his mouth,Conrad was washing the dishes and Drew was drinking his coffee Belly entered the kitchen as Conrad stopped her

"Hey,um I picked up some of those good muffins."Conrad smiled at the girl

"I'm good thanks though."Belly mumbled as she walked off

"Oh Belly you should get going."Susannah suggested

"Oh and everyone stay out of the family room I've done all your paintings and tonight after the ball we'll have a big unveiling."Susannah ordered

"Hey."Drew smiled as he walked up to Belly

"Yeah?"Belly responded turning around

"Break a leg."Drew exclaimed

"That'd be bad I'm supposed to be dancing all night."Belly joked as Drew laughed

"For what it's worth Jere was the better choice."Drew said politely

"Yeah I know."Belly smiled as she left the boy standing alone

The fishers arrived at the ball as the two wilder brothers walked side by side with their mother

"My handsome dates."Susannah smiled

"Mom."Drew mumbled in embarrassment

"Look at us."Susannah grinned as she approached laurel and Jeremiah

"It's perfect."She smiled sadly

"Mom you're not gonna cry are you?"Jeremiah asked

"What and ruin my makeup?No way"Susannah responded as they laughed

"It's just everything's gonna be different next year, Conrad and Drew are going off to college,It may be the last summer we're all together."Susannah announced

"Just don't forget I get a dance from you tonight."Jeremiah smiled at his mom as they went inside

Belly and Jeremiah entered the stage smiling for the photos as Belly turned around she saw Drew smiling at her and she smiled back

All of the escorts lined up to do their escort dance.Drew and Belly sat down on opposite ends of the table catching glimpses at each other as Jeremiah and Steven danced.After the loud round of applause ended Jeremiah had gone off somewhere and Susannah asked Conrad to get his brother

Belly was left there standing alone waiting for Jeremiah to come back.Susannah signaled over to Drew to stand up.Drew stood up instantly making eye contact with Belly as he walked over to her.Belly's frown turned into a smile as they were inches apart.

"I think I remember most of the steps."Drew whispered to the girl as he held her hand.As the waltz begun Drew twirled in taking Belly's hand in his own as they looked into each others eyes it was just them no one else mattered.The two didn't break eye contact

"Look at them,she's luminous."Susannah smiled at the sight

"For Belly Drew is the sun and when the sun comes out the stars disappear."Laurel stated

Drew twirled Belly as they both looked into each others eyes they were both shocked on what was happening the two were dancing and nothing was going to stop them both of their hearts fluttered at the sight of one another,Jeremiah entered the room looking over at them tense over what he had just found out.On the other hand Conrad smiled at his brother dancing with Belly he knew they were destined to be together
