Catherine of Valois, Dowager Queen of England (called Cat or Kate): mother of Henry VI, widow of Henry V. Currently having an affair with Owen Tudor, one of the palace knights

Owen Tudor: Keeper of Catherines' wardrobe, in love with her

Edmund Beaufort, Earl of Somerset: scheming and manipulative third cousin to the king. Impulsive but not harmful to the Lancaster dynasty of which he's a part

Cardinal Henry Beaufort: great uncle to the king, self serving, and incredibly wealthy

Richard Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick (called Warwick): distinguished noble man and knight, loyal follower of Henry V, and now sword master to the young king. Father of Henry Beauchamp.
