"Iras!" I yelled as I ran.

"Just go," she shot back already heading towards Brutus to stop him.

I didn't look back as Marcus and I ran only to find myself running out of breath in a record-breaking time. Yeah, Cleopatra's stamina wasn't the best.

Well, it's not like I am required to run places often. I do not run for people, they wait for me. I resisted the temptation of giving her an eye roll. I do not believe I have ever had to run around as much as I have with you.

Marcus seemed to notice and he scooped me up bridal style.

"Put me down immediately!" Cleopatra's voice flowed through my lips, appalled at Marcus's actions.

"I swear I didn't. Antony did it."

She scoffed as I laughed. Once we had lost sight of Brutus, Marcus placed me down and gave me an apologetic look. My hand shot out and slapped him. I turned away, crossing my arms over my chest. He held his cheek giving me a confused look.

I smiled meekly. "Cleopatra," I offered as an explanation.

He shook his head and sighed.

"Why are you here, Thea?" he said, glancing around.

"Sooo, there may or may not be a little complication."

He tilted his head to the side, giving me a suspicious look. "What complication?"

"Octavian and Gaius got into a fight and the both of them ended up getting zapped into the past with the second key. I used the first one, which is officially broken now, to do this trip." I bit my lips, pulling them into a thin line as I watched Marcus absorb the information I gave him.

"Ha," he said looking down at the ground his shoulders slowly sagging at the realization of what this meant.

"But there's good news. I think Gaius is Julius Caesar so all we have to do is find him–"

"He gave you the whole he is related to Julius Caesar lecture."

"He did that for you too?"

"Thea– that's not important right now."

I gave him a blank look. "You brought it up."

He ignored my smirk as he put his hands together as if to pray and put them against his lips.

He looked around, seeming to calculate something and when he reached his conclusion, he exhaled in frustration. He pointed at me, his hands still pressed together. "Who was holding the second key last?"

"Octav– oh."

"I figured," he said his head hanging low. "Octavian could be anywhere at this time. There's no way to find him and if he activates the key he can go back and get rid of all of us."

"Well, if he gets back Gaius and I will be quick work. You're currently a fish in a tank."

That statement didn't seem to faze him as if he expected that was perfectly normal. Then again for him, it probably was.

"Okay, before Brutus gets to Caesar we need to get to him. Once Gaius and I meet up we can try to figure the rest out. I nodded.

"They said he fainted earlier so he must still be in his chambers."

"CLEOPATRA!" Brutus's deep voice called out. God, he sounded terrifying. He wasn't far off. Marcus and I shared a look and I bit the tip of my thumbnail.

"You go find Julius," Marcus said as made a move to leave. I grabbed his arm.

"Where are you going?!"

"I'll lead Brutus away! You go ahead. Meet me back at your room."

He quickly leaned down and left a lingering kiss on my lips before he ran off calling out to Brutus.

I didn't have time to get caught up in the moment. I had to find Gaius before Brutus did.

"Cleo–"

Follow me.
