Chapter 1

(Pat's POV)

It's crowded in here. The people are having fun dancing on the beat. Then I saw her. She looks so gorgeous in that black dress, red lip stick and heels.

Then she caught me staring at her.

And for five seconds,  we locked eyes.

Then a smirk formed in her lips.

Labdab labdab.

What's that for?

And she walked towards me.

I froze as I felt her hand on my chin.

She look at me directly in the eye.

I looked back at her.

Damn. She's so beautiful

"Ah, Miss, andito na tayo. Hoy!"

Dahan dahan kong dinilat ang mata ko at bumungad sakin ang Mejo naiiritang mukha ng taxi driver. I'm slightly disappointed kasi panaginip lang pala yun. Agh! Then naramdaman ko na parang May basa sa bibig ko, I looked at my reflection sa phone ko and yep, nilaway pa talaga ako. Agad ko yung pinunas Saka pinause na ang music na nag p pe-play sa Spotify ko at inalis sa tenga ang earphones.

"Kanina pa tayo dito, Neng."

"Sorry po, Kuya." Sabi ko habang Kumukuha  ng pambayad sa bag ko. "Eto po." Sabi ko Sabay abot dito.

"Kanina pa kita ginigising,Sarap ng tulog mo naka nganga kapa." Reklamo ni Kuya habang nag bịbilang ng isusukli.

"Ah. Keep the change nalang po."

Tiningnan nito ako. "Aba. Mabuti naman, nasayang kinse minutos ko sayo eh, May pasahero pa Sana ako kanina kaso..."

Agad Agad na akong lumabas nun ng taxi, ang dami kasing satsat ni Kuya. Sorry naman.

Hai.

Then took a deep breath.

Di kasi ako naka tulog ng maayos kagabi, birthday kasi ng anak ng kapit bahay namin kaya hanggang magdamag, nag videoke. Siguro around 2 na ako naka tulog Tapos nagising ng 4. Yep, 4 am! 1 and a half hour kasi biyahe ko from bahay papunta dito, Oo, ganun nga kalayo.

Sighed.

Then I  looked up. Bumantad sakin ang mataas na building na iyon kung saan ako mag tatrabaho.

Then slowly a smile formed on my lips.

This is it. Ito na yun, ang matagal ko nang pinapangarap.

Then I looked at the LED billboard outside the building.

And saw her in there.

Her.

My idol, my inspiration.

The reason why I also took up IT in the same school where she graduated and topped.

Gabrielle Uy is one of the famous young software engineers in the world. Well, ginawa lang naman niya ang napaka sikat na WeShare, an app where you can post photos, videos and share events of your daily life with a built in chat box, In other words, it's a combination of instagram, tiktok and WhatsApp, and also, the iPop University, a twitter-like app that targets gen Zs, yep, kung gusto mong maka meet ng mga tao from different and/or certain university and also kung gusto mo ring maki balita sa nga trends sa ibang school, eh dito ka pumunta. Marami nang university ang gumagamit ng app na ito, yung iba gina gamit ito para mag relay ng news and announcement since mga estudyante ang mga naka register sa app na tu, in terms of security and privacy eh 100% makaka sigurado ka naman dito since meron ding mga limitations lahat ng galaw mo dito,  and isa pa, kapag graduate kana, bawal kana sa iPop U, since naka connect ito sa registrar ng school niyo, kaya kapag mag loloko ka eh talagang malalaman ng principal mo, by the way, only students and school staffs lang ang pwedeng mag register dito, ganito ito ka strikto sa mga nag reregister sa app na tu kaya sikat tu masyado sa nga University, Anyways, target naman ksi talaga nito ang mga university eh.
