6 months later... The date is the 1st of November 855...

"Heh, a full 6 months without swaying my sword at a human..." Thorvald says to himself as he sits on a seat at the porch of Saxa's house.

Saxa then spotted Thorvald sitting alone, she walked over to him and sat next to him.

"Now that you're sitting here alone Thorvald?"

"Nothing, just appreciating the birds chirping and the green grass..."

"Have you gotten any of those dreams lately?" Saxa asks.

"I've had dreams lately, yes, but not about that anymore, no..."

"Well, what have you been dreaming about?"

"Having a nice little peaceful farm on top of a mountain..."

"Mmm, sounds like someone's grown soft?" Saxa says with a giggle.

"Well, I guess I started to appreciate the beautiful world we have, of course, I've only known fighting and slaughtering but... I've been so far away from it, it's like something changed inside of me, I feel like my mind is starting to clear, like I can finally see sense beyond just killing and slaughtering..."

"Will you ever fight again?" Saxa asks.

"...Maybe, if it is to protect my future family, then without skipping a beat in my heart I would, but now? I don't know, it seems we've settled in nicely here in Mercia..."

"...What if you get drafted?"

"Drafted?"

"Don't you know what drafting is?"

"No? What is this drafting you speak of?" Thorvald asks.

"It's where the military or army forces you to join them, you have no choice..."

"Well then I'll join, since I have no choice..."

"Wait what!? You won't even try to fight back?"

"No, I would be seen as a traitor..."

"Huh, fair enough I guess..."

Saxa stood up from her seat and walked inside her house...

Sigmund started walking towards Thorvald, he leaned over the porch's fence and had a chat with him...

"How you been holding up boy?" Sigmund asks.

"There-there I guess..."

"That's good, that's good."

"I mean, we do miss your amazing skills on the battlefield but regardless, doctor's orders..."

"Trying to guilt trip me back into the army sir?" Thorvald asks.

"No-no, just saying, watch yourself..."

Sigmund then stopped leaning on the fence and walked towards the barracks.

"What the fuck is his problem?" Thorvald thinks to himself.

Harald then walked past Thorvald giving him a violent look in the eye...

"I guess Harald hates me now..." Thorvald thinks to himself.

Thorvald then started to fall asleep and took a nap...

"Pick. Up. The. Sword. Boy." A distorted deep voice says.

"Wha-what?" Thorvald asks, distorted.

"Pick up the sword!" The deep voice shouted.

"No..."

"Excuse your tongue boy." Deep voice responds.

"No, I refuse to touch that blade..."

"Fair enough boy, let it be then!" The deep voice says and disappears...

...Thorvald wakes up gasping for air...

"Oh thank God you're awake." Saxa says relieved.

"Wha-what happened?"

"Same thing as last time..."

"Fuck..."

"Why? Dreamt about something bad..."

"Yeah..."

"Care to tell me?"

"No, it's all over the place, plus how late is it?"

"Extremely late, you were out for a long-long time Thorvald..."

"Right, well thanks for checking up on me, I'd rather just crash to bed right now..."

Thorvald stood up from the chair and got into Saxa's bed and went to sleep...

6 hours later...

"Good morning baby..." Saxa says.

"Don't call me that..."

"Hmm why?"

"We are not dating..."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, what made you think that?"

"Do we sleep in the same bed?"

"That's because there isn't a room for me..."

"The barracks?"

"I don't fight anymore Saxa, I've moved on..."

"I think you're lying..."

"Why?"

"Because I know for a fact, deep down you are still eager for English blood..."

"You better stop with your bullshit!"

"Okay-okay, fine..."

"Thank you..."

Thorvald got up from the bed and walked down to the river with some new clothes in his hand, he washed himself and his current clothes he was wearing, he proceeded then to leave the river, dry himself off and put on the fresh clothes he brang...

"Psst! Come over here Thor..." A voice said in a bush next to him as he left the river...

"Huh?! Who said that!" Thorvald shouts.

"Calm down, come here..."

Thorvald then walked to the man wearing a full black outfit, black trench coat, black fedora and had a skull for a face...

"Wha-what are you?"

"What?"

"Your-your face is a skull..."

"Yeah and?"

"How are you real?"

"This is Mercia Thor, all kinds of magic rules Mercia..."

"Wait what?"

"It's a long story, just take this..." The man handed Thorvald a book and the title of the book was in Icelandic and it read "Mercian History."

Thorvald took the book and walked back to Saxa's house with it...

5 minutes of walking later...

Thorvald opens the front door and places it on Saxa's bed and sits down next to it...

Thorvald picked up the book and opened it...
