It was finally the day of the game and just like the weather report had said, it was raining. The game started with none of the teams being able to score any run. Despite the rain, many people came to watch and Emi could only imagine that it was because Teito was one of the crowds favorite.

The bottom second inning had started and Seido still had some difficulties in scoring off from Mukai. Kuramochi was the first one up to bat, but wasn't able to do anything aboout Mukai's pitching. Furuya, also came up to bat next, but he was also unable to do anything about it, even Shirasu, who batted after Furuya wasn't able to reach to the first base.

It was the top of the Third inning and Furuya continued on with his powerful balls. Mukai came up to bat against him but was fly ball so he ws quickly out. Emi noticed how Miyuki was maing aggressive calls from Furuya, but probably because if they were not aggressive, then they could lose easily. However, Teito was able to get their second hit for the day, but Miyuki seemed to know well what to do in order to not allow any runs for Teito.

It was the top of the fourth inning, none of the teams were able to score any run despite some of the batters being able to make contact with the ball. The same thing happened during the fifth inning, none of the Teito runners were able score a run yet. However, the rain seemed to get heavier and stronger ever since it was Seido's turn to defend. Furuya also seemed to not be able to pitch seeing that he was bothered by the rain. That seemed to not be the case anymore since Furuya was able to pitch a perfect strike against one of Teito's batters making it three out.

"Due to the heavy rain, we have paused the game, thank you for your patience" the announcer said as the rain got stronger and stronger. Emi couldn't help but feel like Furuya wouldn't do well after the break due to the rain. He might lose his momentum if he doesn't continue to move, Emi thought to herself.

"I'm going to go grab something," Emi said excusing herself as she left the bleachers and went to Seidou's dugout.

"Kazuya!" Emi called the catcher as she entered the dugout unnoticed by the players and the coach, "Make sure Furuya-kun doesn't relax too much during this break, he might lose his momentum," she told him as he approached her confused as to why she came to the dugout.

"Furuya?" Miyuki asked.

"Yes, Furuya-kun. He just gained his momentum, but the with the game paused because of the rain, he might feel a little too relaxed, it could affect his perfomance," Emi told the catcher worried for the pitcher, "Look, he is already napping over there," she pointed at Furuya who was sleeping.

"I'll go tell him, don't worry," Miyuki told the girl as he patted her head.

"Okay then," Emi said still a little bit hesitant and awkward, "Well, I should head back before the coach scolds at me."

Miyuki watched as the girl left the dugout with a soft smile. She is way too observant, Miyuki thought to himself as he walked over to Furuya waking him up.

"You're way too relaxed, stupid," Miyuki told Furuya as he gently hit his head, "Can you get your focus back when we resume? How many undershirts do you have left?"

"Just this and one more," Furuya replied in a quiet tone.

"Then you can use mine," Miyuki instructed the boy, "We're up to bat when the game resumes so keep your shoulder warm. Not to mention, Emi is worried that you won't do well, so make sure not to worry her even more."

Furuya nodded at the captain's comment. That momentum that Emi talked about... To be frank, this was an unfavorable pause... Miyuki thought to himself as he watched in worry at how Furuya relaxed a little bit more.
