I don't know if I can tap out already, because my dad brought me to the same wretched hospital that I came to last night. I looked at my dad and noticed he was biting his lips as he was looking around constantly with his eyes wide open.

"Dad, why are we here?" I asked, but that didn't seem to grab my dad's attention as he kept looking around "Dad!"

"Huh?" he finally looked at me, that's when he came to the realisation that I had been calling his name "Oh Yeah! let's go"

We walked into the front entrance and the lobby of the hospital, the same place that I was in last night. The more time I spend in this hospital the more motivation drains out of me. My dad immediately walked down a hallway, went up a door and knocked on it. I looked at the sign next to the door and it read DOCTOR PARK

"Come in," a voice said on the other side of the room and we entered the office to see an old man, probably in mid-forties sitting on his desk with papers in front of him as another woman who had a white coat on was sitting in front of him.

"Oh Jungkook I see you came," Doctor Park said

"Yes. Doctor Min, it been a while since I have seen you," my dad said as he shook hands with Doctor Min with a bright smile on her face

"I hope you are recovering well from the surgery," Doctor Min said

"Oh all thanks to you I'm alive and well," My dad said

"What surgery?" I whispered to my dad

"A heart surgery," Doctor Min said making my jaw drop

"H-heart surgery?" I asked tilting my head

"Oh he didn't tell you, two years ago he got stabbed by a knife-" Doctor Min said

"Okay I think that's enough," my dad said trying to end the conversation

"and it went through his heart. He almost died. but don't worry I managed to get him back together" Doctor Min said. I looked at my dad but he avoided my gaze

"I see," I said still looking at my dad, then I turned to Doctor Min "Well he is still breathing and alive so thank you for taking care of my dad"

"Is this your daughter you have told me about, Junghae, right?" Doctor Park asked and my dad nodded

"You told you needed a pathologist, So I brought you a very, very talented one," My dad said putting his hand on my shoulder

{Pathologist: is a medical healthcare provider who examines bodies and body tissues. They mainly perform autopsies.}

{Autopsy: is a surgical procedure performed on dead bodies to determine the cause, mode, and manner of death or to evaluate any disease or injury}

"Wow she looks exactly like you," Doctor Min said eyeing me closely "But honestly she looks like her mother more"

What? Does she know my mom? I felt a heavyweight sink into my stomach. It's been three years since I last saw her.

"Okay let's have a seat and start then, the officer should be here any minute," Doctor Park said quickly before I could ask her about my mom

"Wait!" my dad said interrupted he leaned over to Doctor Park "Is she here?" he whispered quietly thinking I can't hear

"Don't worry, the last thing I want is a bloodbath in my hospital and you back in the operation room, '' Doctor Park said before I could question who dad was looking for. We all took a seat on the couches in the office. My dad and I sat on one while Doctor Min and Doctor Park sat on the other.

"I don't know if your father has explained to you what is going on" Doctor Park started "But we are in high need of pathologists as of yesterday. I did see your work from the past and your dad is right you are talented. I have seen pictures of your techniques for autopsies and the cases you have worked in. I have noticed you were away for three years, so how do you feel going back into pathology and working again?"

"I think I will be okay. I know it going back into that environment can be harsh when it's a sudden change. But I think I will be able to manage and try my best" I said

"We would like you to work for us and help the-" Doctor Park was cut off by a knock on the door. Since the door had a window on it I saw a man who was wearing an army green t-shirt with jeans and a brown jacket. He opened the door and looked at me immediately

"Is that her?" He asked

"Yeah, she is good to go," Doctor Park said

"Follow me," The man said before turning and walking away. I looked at dad and he nodded his head with a smile giving me comfort that everything will be okay. I got up and walked out of the office and caught up with the man

"My name is Hong Joo-hyuk, call me Mister Hong. I don't have a lot of time to sit and talk because I need you in a case" Mister Hong said as we walked through the hallway of the hospital. Suddenly he stopped at his track making me stop before I bumped into him.

"Since you are the only pathologists in this town, we have no choice but to let you practise without your licence. Now here is the deal, you help us solve this case successfully. You get your medical licence back and you will get to work again with the police department, your office will be in the hospital" He said. I felt my heart lighten at the fact there is a possibility I might get my medical licence back.

"Can you do that?" he asked as he looked intensely into my eyes.

I have to do this, I can't let this chance go to waste

"Yes," I said inhaling in sharply. He looked at me for a second before nodding and continuing to walk up to a door that had my name on it

DOCTOR JEON JUNGHAE

They already have things set up. Mister Hong opened the door, revealing a lab behind it. there was a table against the wall that had some machines and equipment on it to help with Autopsy. there was also shelves that had files and a computer on a desk with a chair.

I entered the room and felt goosebumps wash all over me as the coldness of the room covered me. The coldness of the room was solely to preserve the corpse of the body, which was on the metal table in the middle of the room

But it wasn't a full body

It was body parts that have been chopped up and some parts are missing.

Adrenaline immediately rushed up to my spine as I felt the old excitement fill me up again.

ooooo okay
