My name is Ayato Kazuma, I’m 17 years old and I’m a high school student. But of course, I don’t just go to any high school.
Hope’s Peak Academy. A place for only the most gifted students to be cultivated and made into some of the world's greatest geniuses in their respective talents. Each student here is referred to as ultimate, that is the talent they have that surpasses any other. Of course since I've been here, I’m proud to say I’m an ultimate as well.
I'm the Ultimate Singer. I am known very well as a person that has a voice like no other and have collaborated with various famous pop stars, such as Idol Sayaka Maizono who also happens to be a student here. Of course, I didn’t just start with a beautiful singing voice, I had to spend grueling hours day and night working to perfect it. I still don’t believe I’m perfect yet but I know that I have to keep working at it so I can become someone truly worthy of the title.
Well let's put that aside for now, Hope’s Peak Academy stands before me, waiting with such a majestic poise. It's so large that the main building itself takes up a majority of my view. To say it was grand was an understatement. I looked on proudly, with its gates standing before me. I began to take a few steps forward and gradually increased my pace until I was strolling on through the gates of Hope’s Peak Academy
And then it happened. It was like my life flashed before my eyes, things I ‘ve never seen before started popping into view and then leaving just as suddenly. People I’ve never met showed up like I remembered them fondly and then vanished into thin air. Flashing and vanishing flashing and vanishing flashing and vanishing, it was like an insane repeated cycle being shown. Well I would never have time to ponder any of it because not too long after everything went black
What had happened, I had no clue. There was no time to understand any of it. It seemed unreal, like something you’d see in a movie. This shouldn’t have happened, something very wrong was going to happen. This is not how my school life should come to be. I couldn’t understand any of it. But there was one thing I did understand.
That from now on, My life will never be the same.
