Our conversation left me
Feeling a lot of things
And I have no idea
What to make of them.
It's hard to believe
But you got me feeling
Some kind of way
That I hadn't felt before.
Our little chat
Made me think about
The feelings that
I don't have anymore.
You got me wondering
What could have been
Although I've stopped pondering
Over events of yore.
Don't get me wrong though,
It's not a bad thing
It's probably for the best
So, rest assured.
Never thought I'd say this
But your words had
An impact on me
That I can't deny.
Somehow you managed to
Dig deeper into the depths
Of my subconscious that
No one had reached before.
Just about a conversation I had with a friend last night...
