JENNIFER'S POV:
We are currently on the set of friends reunion. I can't wait to see those folks again. Though, we would hang out sometimes, it's still different.
I brought my daughter with me. The last time they've seen her was many years ago. I could see she's a bit nervous.
"Mama" she pulls on my shirt
"What is it, bug?" I lift her up and put on my lap
"I'm scared"
"Oh, my baby. I'm gonna be there the whole time. You don't have to worry" she looks at me with those big eyes and I just softly smile
We stand up and head towards the room where everybody is.
"Okay, let's go"
She just stands there looking at me. Few tears escape her eyes. My heart breaks at how stressed she is.
"Mommy's here, sweet girl" I take her in my arms and I go inside, carrying her
She buries her head in my neck.
"That can't be..." Matt exclaims "little y/n!"
Everyone said their hellos.
"Well, someone's a little shy here" Court laughs tickling y/n's side and she giggles
"Hi, guys" she says smiling innocently to everybody
"You haven't changed a bit!" Lisa tells her
"Expect she's slightly bigger" David laughs
"For me she's always gonna be a little baby!" I say and my daughter buries her head in my neck again
"For me too" Cortney adds and take her from me and we sit on the couch
y/n's sitting in Courtney's lap, chatting with everyone.
I'm having a lot of fun. I haven't seen them in a while and it's really great to talk about the old times.
"Do it, Jen!" everybody's been convincing me to quote an old line from the show
"It's like everyone saying to you your whole life - 'Rachel your a shoe'. Well, what if I don't wanna be a shoe, daddy. What if I wanna be a...a hat!
Nooo, I don't want a new hat, daddy!" I quote
"That was just perfect!" Matthew applauses
We talk about everything and nothing for another hour.
Y/N'S POV:
I'm sitting in Aunt Courtney's lap right now. I'm really comfy. She holds me in her arms and rubs my knuckles with her hand. I play with the rings on her fingers.
My eyes are getting heavy and I'm starting to get really sleepy. Courtney notices that and starts rocking me slowly. It's comforting.
"Go to sleep, baby" my aunt whispers into my ear and kisses my head
I let myself drift off to sleep.
NOBODY'S POV:
"Aww, look who fell asleep" Lisa awes, looking at the peacefully sleeping child
Courtney carefully moves y/n to Jen's lap, cause it would make her feel more comfortable. Plus, Jennifer loves to hold her kid. She just knows it makes y/n feel safe.
"Mommy" y/n whispers into Jen's ear, waking up
"Go back to sleep, little one. You're safe with mama" she kisses her forehead and gently rubs her back
"But everybody's here and-"
"Shh. Doll, it doesn't matter. Close your eyes and go back to your sweet dreams for mommy, would you?" Jen tucks some hair behind the girl's ear
y/n does as her mom says and soon falls asleep again.
