Hyunjin's POV
I woke up as I felt something touching my face. It's fucking itchy. I kept scratching it to make it go away but it comes back like nothing happened.
"Why he is not waking up?" a small voice asked
Am I not in my house?!
I opened my eyes and found a kid staring at me with a smile on his face, "Who are you? Where am I?"
"He is awake!" he shouted
"Who are you? Am I kidnapped?!"
The kid raised his eyebrow and shrugged his shoulder.
"Huh? You? Kidnapped?" Ayumi said and rolled her eyes
"You?!"
"Yes. Do you have a problem? You should be thankful that I didn't leave you at the restaurant or else people would watch you until you wake up." Ayumi smirked
"Where am I?"
"In my house. Specifically, in my room." she glared at me
I looked around and found her pictures-
"Now, get moving. Come downstairs because Young Woo is waiting. Breakfast is ready. We have classes later." Ayumi said and left me in the room
The kid is staring at me.
"What?"
"I'm Dal. The bathroom on this floor have spare things for visitors." he smiled as he introduced himself then he left the room
A kid? I don't remember if Young Woo mentioned to us having a younger brother aside from Ayumi who is his younger sibling.
I quickly left her room and went to the bathroom on that same floor. I did my morning routine using the spare things for visitors that the kid mentioned. After doing my routine, I went downstairs and found the kid watching.
"Hyunjin. You're awake. You should join us. Breakfast is ready." Young Woo said
"Dad! I can't find the remote-" Dal
"Dad?!"
The kid stared at me again.
"Ah. I think I will have to explain to you. Let's have breakfast when we do that." Young Woo said and went to the dining table where Ayumi is "Ayumi, no phone. Whatever that is, do that later."
Ayumi put down her phone and looked at me, "Sit down. What are you staring at?"
I sat down and I am facing Ayumi, while Young Woo is at the end of the table, Dal is sitting beside him.
"Dal is my kid with my ex girlfriend. I am assigned to take care of him now that his mother left for good. He is the reason why I can't attend classes. I have no one to leave him." Young Woo
"I told you to hire a babysitter." Ayumi said
"I can't trust anyone." Young Woo
"Yah. You are going to be expelled if you will miss classes again." Ayumi said
"How about-" I stopped talking when the three of them looked at me
"Were you saying something?" Ayumi asked
"I was thinking if... I... Uh... My grandfather. He really loves kids, and he kept telling me make one. I was wondering if you guys are okay leaving Dal with my grandfather."
"Mr. Hwang Yujeon? I mean I'm okay with that. It's an honor, but will he be okay with taking care of Dal?" Young Woo asked
"Grandfather needs rest, not kids to take care of-" Ayumi
"Mine is different."
"Stop arguing." Young Woo said
"She started it."
"Anyway, I don't have any choice but to say yes and I am honored. I will make sure to find a babysitter as soon as possible." Young Woo said
"No worries."
After the breakfast with them, Young Woo went to the University to fix his problem with the classes he missed.
Ayumi is driving the car to my house and we are with Dal who is in the backseat with his stuffed toys. He is singing something I don't understand since the lyrics is so unclear.
"Dal, you should behave, okay?" Ayumi reminded him
"Yes!" Dal excitedly answered
"I told Young Woo about what happened last night. You were so drunk and he let you sleep in the house. You should be lucky because he knows who you are. If no, you are probably outside." Ayumi said
"Thanks."
"I should record this. Hwang Hyunjin, the student who hates Ayumi the most, said thank you." Ayumi chuckled
I rolled my eyes and ignored her.
As we arrived at my house, grandfather was sitting on the sofa with a newspaper and a cup of coffee with him.
"Hyunjin? Where did you go last night? You didn't go home." grandfather said
"I was with-"
"Don't tell me you have a kid?!" grandfather overreacted as soon as he saw Dal with Ayumi
"It's not that. He is not my kid. He is Young Woo's kid, and I was wondering if you'd like to take care of him while they were looking for babysitter?"
"Young Woo has a child? I can't believe that." grandfather happily asked as he sat down to be on the same level as Dal, "Come here."
Dal ran to him and hugged him.
Grandfather carried him as he stood up, "I'm sure you are as smart as your Father."
"Is that a yes?"
"Of course!" grandfather said
"Thank you so much. We promise to find a babysitter as soon as possible." Ayumi said
"And she is?" grandfather looked at me
"Don't get the wrong-"
"You are probably Hyunjin's girlfriend?! I knew it! It was nice meeting you!" grandfather said and hugged Ayumi
Ayumi looked at me.
"She is not my girlfriend."
"We are not in a relationship and will never be." Ayumi awkwardly smiled at grandfather
"I'm sorry if I found out about your secret relationship. I won't tell anyone. Right, Dal?" grandfather said
Dal chuckled and nodded.
"She is not my girlfriend." I whispered to him
He put his arm on my shoulder, "You found a very beautiful and kind one."
