Seungmin's POV
"Seungmin, I heard you're not taking Klei as your date to the grand ball tonight?" Mom asked me
"Yes. Hyunjin is her date. Ayumi is my date."
Dad look confused.
"Ayumi wasn't in a relationship with Hyunjin. Not a real one. They were faking it for some reason, so there's no problem. Besides, Hyunjin talked to me to take Ayumi to the ball as my date."
"I see. Well, you finally have the chance now." Dad smiled at me
"I know. Thanks, Dad."
"You two really love keeping secrets from me, huh? What's with Ayumi? Do you like her?" Mom asked me
"I think Seungmin is late." Dad said to save me from thousands of question from my Mom

"Seungmin, I'm glad your here for Ayumi. I can't take her to the ball, since I have to take care of someone." Young Woo said
"No worries."
"Is there something you know that happened? Ayumi was crying always, and I don't even know how to ask her. I'm just scared and shy. Ayumi is in her age where she will likely to open up to you all than to me." Young Woo
"Yes. Something did happen, but I am not the right person to tell you that. If there someone who should tell you about it, it's Ayumi."
He nodded and smiled, "I understand. Thank you for telling me though. I am sure you guys won't give up on her."

"Hey, sorry we took so long." Felix greeted as he entered the house along with Yeona, Minho, and Xiah
"Where's Ayumi?" Xiah asked
"She's in her room."
"She doesn't want to come out, huh?" she annoyingly asked
"You guys came." Young Woo said and smiled at them
"Let's go, Yeona." Xiah said, and they both went upstairs to Ayumi's room
The five of us agreed to go here and take care of Ayumi who doesn't want to go the ball. Xiah was so annoyed that she is locking herself up in her room when there was no relationship between her and Hyunjin.
To be honest, there is something in me that knows Ayumi and Hyunjin is slowly falling for each other. A short time won't be able to tell the future of them two.
Hyunjin asked Klei to be his date for tonight. Well, I am not even surprised that will happen. He will want someone whom he thinks he can benefit from, and Ayumi is not that someone.

We are here at the venue, and we succeeded on bringing Ayumi with us, as my date. She was quiet the whole ride, and I tried to lighten up the mood but she doesn't look okay at all.
"They did a good job with this event." she said
"I know. They worked so hard for this."
Short conversations like that with her. Either she would not talk after or she would give me short replies which can end a conversation.
The event started, some representatives said their speech. Now, the real program is starting, and one of Changbin's friends is the emcee.
"A pleasant evening to everyone here, I am Asteri. Your emcee for tonight. A magical evening like this under the moon and stars will give us a memorable memory we will keep..." she continued her speech and finally the dance has started
Everyone is in the middle, dancing with the person they want. But the thrill here is that they don't know who is under that mask.
"Ayumi."
She looked at me.
"Can I have this dance?"
A smile appeared on her face as she nodded at me. We both went to the dance floor and song started playing.
Now playing: Waiting for us (instrumental)
I put my right hand on her waist, her right hand on my shoulder, our left hands were holding each others'.
"Thanks for coming with me tonight. I really appreciate you just going with us. I wasn't able to prepare a way to ask you to be my date."
"I will always say yes, Seungmin. Besides, you are the only guy who will ask me. Look at me. Who would want to be with me?" Ayumi
"Ayumi, nothing's wrong with you. You are doubting yourself when you don't even have an idea who admires you from afar."
"Is there something like that?" she giggled
"Are you okay?"
"Of course. There is no reason not to be okay. Thank you for asking me though and making sure." she smiled at me
"Have you ever wondered why there are billions of people on this planet and not everyone found the right person for them?"
"Why is that?" Ayumi
"Because we all are bound to be with different kind of people until we get to the right one."

"Students, it is finally time to give the bracelet to the person you wanted to have it, and you guys will have to find them within 24 hours or else the bracelets will be collected." one of the announcers said
Everyone started finding the person they wanted to give their bracelets, Felix gave his to Yeona, vice versa. Minho and Xiah did the same. Meanwhile, me and Ayumi are not even moving a bit.
Some students continued dancing after giving the bracelets. Ayumi and I were left here as others went to eat.
"Do you want something to drink?"
"Yeah. Sure." she smiled
I stood up and handed her the bracelet.
"Seungmin." she looks confused
"I am making this night memorable for me."
