Hyunjin's POV

Our class has finally ended. Everyone seems to be happy with the news of not receiving any activities for today. I mean, I am happy too. But the fact that I can't distract myself now that I don't have activities is a big problem.

"Thank you everyone." our professor said and left the classroom

Jisung being the excited one, ran to us, "How about a drink tonight?"

"Tonight? Sure." Chan

"I'm in." Seungmin

"Me too." Felix

Minho gave them two thumbs up.

"I'm going." Jeongin smiled

"Same here." Changbin

They all looked at me.

"What?"

"Are you coming or no?" Jisung asked

"No. He is not coming." Ayumi said and stood between us

"Huh?" Changbin

"He can't come if no one in this group of friends will take care of him and bring him home. Yah. I'm still mad that you left this annoying person with me. I wanted to abandon him but I didn't since I felt bad." Ayumi rolled her eyes

All of my friends looked at one another then bowed to Ayumi with their hands placing in front of them. Ayumi smirked and gave them a nod.

"That won't do. I have to ask you guys to do something for me in the future." Ayumi said and walked out of the room

"She is surely gonna ask us something that will benefit herself." Jeongin pouted

"That's for sure. She thinks recklessly but that's what I like about her." Seungmin chuckled

"So, are you going or no?" Minho asked me

I shook my head as answer, "I have to go."

Without any hesitation, I left them and went straight to the parking lot. I was about to enter my car when I received a call from my grandfather.

Grandfather calling...

"Hello-"

[Are you on your way to Minhye?]

"Minhye?"

[Don't tell me you forgot.]

"No. I am actually going to buy flowers first. Anyway, I will text you when I get there."

He ended the call after.

"Minhye?" Ayumi asked, and I found her standing not far from where I am

"None of your business-"

"I am not asking who she is. I just remembered something last night." Ayumi

"What?"

"You said you miss her." she said

And that froze me. I looked at her and she seems innocent. There's no way she knew about Minhye and decided to tease me.

"You said her name, then you passed out. I know you are busy but you should make time for your girlfriend. Bye." Ayumi got in her car and drove away

She probably doesn't know.

I got in my car and drove to the columbarium. As I arrived there, I went to the floor where Minhye's ash is. Her picture and flowers inside the glass.

"Did I just gave your name to that lady?"

I never mentioned Minhye's name to anyone after her death, nor I talked about her. My friends knew about it and they have been protecting my past with Minhye even though I never asked them to.

"But that lady won't waste her time talking about me and you. She is kind of annoying, but that's her uniqueness."

I really miss you, Minhye.

Flashback

"Hyunjin." Grandfather called as he saw me looking at the diary in front of me

"This is blood will serve as the evidence of my never ending pain until I die. Every man in my family would never live happily with the person they love."

"You shouldn't be reading that." Grandfather said and took it from my hand

"Is this why your grandmother and Mom died? Because of this curse?" I asked with tears flowing from my eyes

"You don't believe this-" Grandfather

"How am I not supposed to believe that? Every woman in this family died. Just because he didn't end up with the woman he loves, that doesn't mean he can fucking involved us! We didn't do anything wrong!"

"I know, Hyunjin. We don't know if this is true." Geandfather said

I took the diary from him and threw it at the wall out of anger, "And the fact that I was named after him. Bullshit!"

"Hyunjin." Minhye's Mom called as he saw me walking towards them

"Where's Minhye? Is she inside?" I asked trying my best not to cry

"Hyunjin, she is gone." Minhye's Mom said with tears flowing from her eyes

"No way. She would never leave me. She promised. She loves me. She would never make me cry."

"She loves you that's why she kept it from you." Minhye's Mom cried

I almost lost my mind after Minhye's death. I tried my best to be okay but it was so hard. I went to states for vacation and when I got home I found out that Minhye is dead. She broke up with me before I left. She planned it all along. Kept is as a secret, broke up with me, and left for good.

"I'm still mad, Minhye. You left without telling me. But I don't have the right to get mad at you. I was to be blamed for your death. You died because I loved you."

Minhye is the woman I love and that curse ruined us both. If only I didn't love her, she would've been alive. It's all my fault. I still blame myself until now for the death of Minhye.

"...because of the curse, I got scared of falling in love."
