Fever

Jasper pov

After the movie was over, I went upstairs to check on daisy. I would've gone sooner, but I could tell she wanted to be alone. We all heard their conversation and it seemed best to leave her with her thoughts. Edward told me so and I trust him. I went upstairs when I thought she was ready. It was many hours later and almost early morning

"You OK honey?" I asked walking in. Daisy was in bed on the laptop. She looked up at me and smiled

"I'm fine. Come sit with me?" She asked. I nodded and smirked, getting under the covers and leaning my head on her shoulder

"I like that" I said pointing at the clothing on the shopping site she was browsing. She laughed and playfully hit me

"You don't like the dress. You like the model with big boobs wearing it"

"I am offended you would even suggest such a thing" I gasped and she smiled, kissing my lips and saying

"You are such a shit liar baby" we both started laughing and we looked at more clothes. Well Daisy did. I just played catch against the wall as my head rested against her lap and the laptop was by my side

"Jasper"

"Yes darling"

"If you hit that ball against the wall one more time, I will throw it for the fucking dogs" Daisy said referring to the wolves

"I'm so bored" I whined

"Then what do you want to do?" She asked. I smirked and closed her laptop shut, climbing ontop of her and kissing her neck

"Ugh nope" she said. I got off and looked at her

"Is everything alright?" I asked

"I just don't feel very well right now. I'm sure its nothing but I don't want to give you a cold or anything" daisy said and I just laughed

"Sweetheart, you don't have to lie to me. If you aren't in the mood, just say. I'm not with you for just sex. There are plenty of other things I can think of to occupy my boredom" she smiles and kisses my nose

"I'm not in the mood. I'm sorry"

"Don't be sorry. It's no big deal. Now, I know you are going to fall asleep soon. Your eyes are getting heavy and your heart rate is slowing down. So why don't we cuddle?" Daisy nods happily, curling up into my side as I kiss her forehead

"I love you jazz"

"I love you too"

As daisy slept in my arms, I got increasingly concerned. She began to feel warm, and her heart rate increased. I kept an eye on her all night until I had to call for Carlisle

"What's wrong?" He asked

"She's really warm" I said worried. Carlisle felt her forehead and lifted her up. Throughout all of this, daisy stayed asleep which was even more worrying. Carlisle took her to his office and lay her down on a bed. He felt her forehead again and gave her a thermometer. Checked her heart beat and did some other tests. Eventually, he gave her some fluids in a drip and let her sleep

"She's getting a fever but hopefully, it won't last too long. Caught it early and she's got enough medication to keep the temperature down. She'll be fine jasper. You should go and hunt"

"I'm not leaving her. And I don't need to hunt" I told him

Carlisle pov

Jasper stayed by her side for almost 24 hrs before she woke up. Daisy had a temperature for 2 days before she began to feel better. When everyone was out hunting, I stayed behind with Daisy

"You can go hunting too ya know. I'm fine being on my own for a little while" she said sitting next to me on the sofa

"I actually need to talk to you"

"Oh ye, everything OK?"

"I shouldve told you sooner. But I needed everyone out of the house so they wouldn't hear. When I was doing tests for your fever, I noticed something. I don't know how...."

"Carlisle, you're scaring me" she said so I decided to rip the plaster off

"You're pregnant. And the baby seems to be increasing at a human rate and looks healthy. It is very, very early days. I never would've seen it unless I did a blood test. But you are pregnant. I don't know what your plan is, but you have 4 days before it develops a heart beat, and everyone else finds out. I'm sorry Daisy. I know this is probably not what you wanted" I told her. I could see the tears forming in her eyes. She flung her arms around me and kissed my cheek

"Are you happy?" I asked

"I don't know. I really don't. It's not what I planned. And I never really wanted children. But...I don't know how to feel. So I'm going with happy before my common sense kicks in" I chuckled and hugged her again

"In that case, congratulations"

"Can we keep this between us? Just for a day or two before I tell jazz. Then everyone else can know. I need to speak with him and see if we are keeping it or not. I...I like the idea of having a kid with jasper. But it's not that simple, is it"

"No I'm afraid it's not simple. I wish I could help but this is a decision only you and jasper can make. Whatever you decide, I'll support and help you. So will the rest of the family" I say

"Thank you. For everything. Wow. This is so surreal" Daisy began crying so I stood up and hugged her

"Hey, come on, why are you crying?" I ask smiling to boost her mood

"I'm just in shock. I can't believe there is an actualt baby inside of me right now. And I'm scared, I don't think jasper will be overly pleased. And I feel guilty because I know how much rose wants a baby. And I don't even want one yet I'm getting one. Or I might want one. I don't know Carlisle" she was still crying so I hug her again and kiss her forehead

"I'm gonna make you some hot chocolate. You just sit down and cry it out. Trust me, sometimes all you need is a good cry to get it out your system" she smiles slightly and goes to sit down whilst I make her some hot chocolate. Perhaps they will keep the baby. Perhaps they won't. But one things for sure. Jasper and Daisy have one hell of a support team on their backs
