Gina came out and sighed. "Mother, I'm happy you finally made decision to live in lower floor. I'll talk to my brother-in-law to renovate the room before you get it. Don't mistreat yourself."
The old woman found it feasible. Who doesn't want to live in better place?
"You are right. Oh yes. As soon you leave your room will be cleaned and painted as well so don't do anything unnecessary. I know you by now."
Gina could only sigh and give up her idea. " Mother, come and have dinner with us."
" No. I already cooked for me. Take the bread. I was thinking about your problem and thought of renting a carriage day after tomorrow. You can go and find that friend of yours with turnips. I don't mind keeping some for myself. And instead of money I'll buy you grains. Salt you can make on your own."
She gave her loaf of black bread and Gina didn't refuse. Neither the offer.
Maybe staying one more day won't be such stupid idea.
Checking prices in city on her own and selling few things wouldn't be dumb.
"I shall do that. And yes, I was as well thinking about taking my pots, my food and not walking. I might be better, but I'm not strong enough to carry those things. And I can take big pots with me as well. I need them for my grains." Gina directly said what she thought.
The old woman sighed. "Take it. You and your husband bought it to save your grains from mice. I told my son to buy his own, but will he listen is not my problem. Later I will ask Andrea to tell her husband to bring his wagon to carry your things to the fisherman's village. Go eat and rest."
She waved her off, ignoring scent as she thought it came from other rooms.
The two boys went inside and cheered as they saw stew and tasted it with shiny eyes.
"Mom, it tastes amazing." Marco that was younger looked at her with red eyes.
"Good you like it. Now eat and go to sleep. Rest will be eaten tomorrow as I won't have time to cook." The big pot was enough to feed them three times and she gave each three pieces of bread, filling them completely.
After she laid down with them and closed her eyes, she opened on other side and smiled at the two men that just came back.
"You came on time. I have ancient black bread that tastes amazing and good hot stew. Let's eat." She was hungry and took three big bowls of thick stew and one piece of dark bread she cut from the loaf.
She didn't feel bad as she planned buying more next day and keeping in space.
She can sell her vegetables and just buy as many bread loaves she could.
The three ate silently the stew and the two men were amazed. "This taste is different then anything I ate before."
Josh was rubbing his now bloated belly and burped lightly. "Sorry."
She shook her head and smiled. "We won't eat meat often as it will be rare until I don't start rising poultry. So we must save. So, did you sell?"
She didn't see them coming back with food and looked at them with smile.
