The Sokovia Accords. I never observed something that divided so many people. Hiding from the world lets one see all sides of the argument. Right now I'm in a cafe sipping a mocha. "I knew I would find you here," a familiar voice says. Looking up I see the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. had taken the seat across from me.

"I thought you were retired," I voiced.

"Technically I'm dead, so it doesn't count," Fury argues. "I need your help."

"I'm retired," I argue back.

"Retired my ass. You don't think I don't know you're running around doing who knows what. Correct me if I'm wrong but there was something fishy about the Life Foundation. And some reporter who went under the name The High Priestess did a lot of articles painting them in not so good light."

"Alright you caught me. I became an investigative reporter. But I don't understand how I can help you."

"I created the Avengers to protect the world from threats that are too hard to handle. Now the team that I had created had grown but now it's fallen apart."

"So what do you want me to do?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.

"I've read your articles. You have a knack of getting people to see a different point of view of things."

"You want me to write an article about what exactly?"

"The Sokovia Accords is what broke the team. More importantly Stark blames Barnes for Howard and Maria's death. You knew all of them."

"Yes I did. I knew Howard the longest out of all of them. I do agree that it isn't Sgt. Barnes's fault but Hydra's. I can't promise anything."

"No but you can get the process in motion. Maybe there would be a sway of public opinion if there was a slight push." Now I understand what he's getting at.

"Like I said no promises; however, be prepared to see an article soon."

"I knew I could count on you. Oh and what about Barnes?"

"One thing at a time. It will take me a bit of time to be able to help Sgt. Barnes. Best I might be able to do is get him a pardon with a condition attached."

"That's all I ask for. Have a good day." He leaves me to finish my mocha. To think the first time we met was back in the 90's. He still had two good eyes and more hair. Oh how time flies by. Packing up my stuff I head to an apartment complex. Let's just say the man has an interesting parasite.

I don't even knock when I enter the apartment. "You know there's a thing such as knocking," the owner says slightly annoyed.

"If I knocked then you would have known I was coming. Besides a need a place to write my article anyways."

"Can't you do that in your own home? Oh and Venom says hi."

"Hey Venom," I say back. A tentacle grows out to wave hi. "I could but I might need you to look into some stuff for me. Besides Eddy you're the only one I trust right now." Yes my friend is Eddie Brock with his symbiote Venom. Venom doesn't like to be called a parasite. I think he punched Eddie in the face for calling him a parasite. Yeah no thank you.
