"What is she doing here?" I said pointing at Jennie
"What do you mean?" Jennie asked me offended "Jisoo is my friend too" she added
"But this is a business dinner" I replied her
"In that case, I worked with Jisoo too!" She hissed back

"Can I take your order?" The waiter interrupted us

"We are waiting for someone" Namjoon replied politely. The waiter nodded and left.
"And you two please behave" he warned us "This is not a family dinner"
"She's not even here anyways" Jennie complained

I hate to admit it but Jennie is right, Jisoo is late.

"Well, It was a last-minute request" Namjoon said while looking at me
"What?" I mouthed
"Speaking of the devil..." Jennie murmured

Jisoo arrived she was wearing a cocktail black dress, she looked stunning. I smiled at her and she smiled back, but then my smile faded.

She's with him.

"I'm late I'm sorry" she said embarrassed
"Don't worry, it was a rushed plan" Namjoon said standing up "Nice to see you too, Haein" he said shaking his hand
"Do you know him?" I asked abruptly
"Shhh" Jennie said while kicking my leg under the table "Nice to see you again unnie!" Jennie hugged Jisoo tightly "And..." she looked at the man beside Jisoo
"Oh sorry, Jennie this is my friend Haein, and Haein she's Taehyung's sister, Jennie"
"Uhm? Do you know my brother?" Jennie asked confuse
"Yes, I met him earlier" he looked straight into my eyes
"Yes... we have already met" I answered looking at Jisoo, she was clueless about the awkward situation
"I see" Jennie said breaking the silence "Nice to meet you Haein"
"Please take a seat" Namjoon said
"Here, Jisoo" I said standing up and gently pulling out the chair beside me. Jisoo smiled widely but I can see how her friend is not happy with my gesture.

The waiter arrived to take our orders and the dinner progressed smoothly. We didn't know anything about Haein but Jisoo's presence breaks the tension and her aura helps to lighten the mood.

"You're an actor too, right?" Jennie asked Haein "I have seen some of your recent films, you're amazing" she smiled
"Right?" Jisoo interrupted "I always tell him that he's really talented"
"Thank you both" he smiled at them "These days Jisoo has been my source of confidence" he looked at me scanning my face to see my reaction
"This looks good," I said looking at my plate, trying to ignore him
"It does, I hope it tastes as good as it looks" Jennie followed my conversation, maybe she's not a bad sister after all
"Well, it's one of the best restaurants in the city, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed" Namjoon added

Haein took a sip of his drink and smirked, I know what is he trying to do.

The dinner was about to end, we were waiting for our dessert. I didn't have a proper conversation with Jisoo since Haein always inserted himself in between.

She will leave the country soon and for some reason that makes me sad. Suddenly a sound interrupted my thoughts...

A shutter?

I thought it was my imagination but then again I listened to that sound

That's definitely a camera shutter

I tried to look for the source of the sound, and Jisoo noticed my weird behavior.

"Is anything wrong?" she asked me whispering
"I think there's a paparazzi" I whispered back
"That's bad, I don't want any baseless rumor, not with the new campaign right in the corner" Jisoo's face showed concern, it was the first time that she actually looked worried.

After seeing Jisoo's face It took me a second to decide.

"Go to the bathroom and wait for me" I told her
"What?" She asked me confused
"Just do it, trust me" I demanded her

She nodded and went to the bathroom.

After a few minutes I knew it was time "Excuse me" I said as I stand up "I have something important to do"

They all were confused

"I'll call you later" I said to Namjoon before leaving the table

I went to the bathroom and knocked on the door

"Jisoo?" I called her name
"It took you a while" she said opening g the door
"Let's go we don't have time" I told her while I put my coat on her shoulders.
"Do you have a plan or something?" She asked
"I called a taxi, we are leaving" I said to her

I grabbed her hand and ran toward the back exit, we took the taxi and went to my house.

"I'm sorry" she said taking off my coat from her shoulders "An article can ruin our reputation" she said smiling at me "Don't worry I'll call my manager..."
"You're worried because Haein was there too?" I asked her without thinking that much, I really want to know
Her eyes widened "you're clever!" She exclaimed "Yes, there are some rumors about us"
"And..." I said
"And?" She asked me back
"It's true?" I directly asked her, I don't want to feel uneasy anymore
"Why would you even ask me that?" she said to me while laughing, I can tell she thought it was a joke, but...

"I'm asking because I really like you"
