A/N: I've decided to not make this story plot accurate and instead go with my original plan, also because I figured describing the episode word by word may be boring :) but in case anyone forgot, the timeline lines up with when Starscream took control of the Decepticons after Megatron's "death"

You were playing a game of lob-ball with Bumblebee and Bulkhead, the ball of metal flew across the base to land in your servos with a klank!

The speed of the throw pushed you back but you firmly grasped it and tossed it back. The two mechs were thankfully being gentle with you (well, as gentle as they can be) and weren't launching the ball at full speed as they usually would, much to your and Ratchet's relief...The first time when Bulkhead launched the ball toward you, you were absolutely convinced that some of the circuits within your servos had become torn. You couldn't help but wince in pain as the ball made an impact with your body, it sent a sudden jolt of pain that traveled through your entire being. This was not something you wanted to experience again.

Although you all tried to stick to your own corner and avoid throwing the ball too close to any delicate equipment, Bumblebee accidentally tossed the ball a little too close to the computers, which earned him a stern glare from Ratchet.

"Be careful with that thing!" He proceeds to mumble under his breath about young-bots and them being reckless.

"Sorry Ratchet!" Bulkhead says as he throws the ball toward you

You stifle a laugh at the medic's expression. BumbleBee raised his servos and got in position. You lift your arms to throw it to Bee when an alarm blares from the computers. You pause with your actions and drop the ball, your optics peering at the screens, Bee's shoulders drop in disappointment but he too pays attention to the monitor. Ratchet quickly presses a couple of buttons to reveal more information on the map.

"It's an energon signal, another mine revealed by Starscream most likely," Ratchet says as Optimus walks into the room, ever so calmly.

"Do we usually engage them every time they find a mine?" You ask, you figured in real time it had to be such a repetitive event to the team. Earth was filled with energon apparently, it seems even now they're always on the constant lookout.

"It is preferred that the Decepticons don't have access to this fuel, Y/N. They've used it to their advantage in the past and won't hesitate to do it again. With these raw energon crystals, they can do unspeakable things." Optimus does his usual short speech and on cue, he and the rest of the team transformed.

I know, you think to yourself. You suppress a shiver as you make your way next to the humans' staircase, you leaned on it as the rest prepared to leave. You knew it would be another day of staying with Ratchet at base. Usually, you both mind your business unless you ask questions about one another. Unlike some of the other members of the team, Ratchet had never expressed any interest in learning about your universe or anything related to it ever since you first arrived here. The few times that someone had dared to ask him about it, he only answered with his signature scoff and "I don't want to dwell on something that could have but ultimately didn't happen here."

Ratchet turns on the lever to the groundbridge as the rest leave in a hurry, understandably wanting to arrive before the cons do. Their alt-modes speed off until they disappear one by one. You let out a sigh as you rest your helm on your servo. The medic's optics look at you.

"Not gonna insist to join them this time?" He asks with a hint of amusement in his voice. A timid smile forms on your faceplates as you examine your metal arms.
