Brownies Are The Cure (Requested)

Y/N's POV
I was in the middle of playing with my stuffies, when a loud clap of thunder made me jump backwards on the floor, hugging my favorite stuffie close as I sat against the wall.

I quickly got up from the floor and ran out of the bedroom, down the hallway to Hailee's home office, knocking on the door.

"Yes?" I heard my girlfriend's voice call out, letting me know it was okay to come in.

"Mama?" I spoke shyly and tiptoed into the room, closing the door behind me.

"Yes, baby love?" The brunette replied in a soft, caring voice and turned to look at me.

"Thunder," I pouted and shifted on my feet, nervously.

"Aww, c'mere," She smiled softly and opened her arms for me. I quickly waddled over to her and crawled into her lap, hiding my face in her neck. "Shhh, it's okay, babygirl, mama's got you," Haiz spoke softly and kissed the top of my head.

"Me no likey," I mumbled against her neck, as she rubbed my back gently.

"I know, teddy bear, I know, the thunder is mean, but guess what," She paused, making me look up at her, "Mama will protect you."

"Pwomise?" I asked with big puppy eyes.

The hazel eyed beauty smiled and held her pinky up, "I promise you, darling."

A small smile spread across my face, as I hooked my pinky with hers, watching her kiss my hand softly.

"Tell you what," She smiled and hugged me close, "Let's go make some brownies and then we can watch a movie, what do you say?"

"Yesss," I smiled and clung to her as she stood up, holding me in her arms, carrying me out to the kitchen.

"Okay, you sit here and I'll get the stuff we need," Hailee said and sat me down on the kitchen counter, right next to the fridge, so I could still hold her hand for comfort, while she grabbed everything we needed.

"Mama?" I said, making her look up from the fridge.

"Yes, baby?"

"Can we have choccymilk with da brownies, pwease?" I asked and gave her the cutest face I could manage, causing her to smile brightly.

"Yes, of course," She grinned and leaned over, placing a kiss on my nose.

When the brownies were in the oven, Hailee picked me up and carried me into the living room, gently placing me down on the couch.

"Pick a movie and I'll be right back, okay?" The brunette spoke softly.

"Otay," I nodded and looked for a good cartoon. I decided on Turning Red, and just then Haiz came back into the room with a duvet, putting it over me, before going into the kitchen to get our choccymilks.

"Alrighty, what're we watching, bubs?" She asked and sat down next to me, pulling me into her lap, wrapping the duvet around both of us.

"Turning Red," I replied with a smile and pressed play, before cuddling into her, relaxing in her arms.

*ding*

"Oh, that's the brownies," Hailee said and paused the movie, before sliding out from underneath me, "I'll be right back, baby love."

I nodded with a smile and waited while she went and took the brownies out of the oven, placing them on the counter so they could cool off a bit.

We kept watching the movie for a little bit, while the brownies were cooling down. Then Haiz went and grabbed us each a piece, before cuddling up to me again. She would feed me with a spoon, before eating her own.

Then she pulled me really close and hugged me tightly, as we watched the rest of the movie.
