You had been convinced that Shadow had betrayed the resistance and was working for the enemy. Now here you were being carried in his arms, while pregnant with another man's baby. Shadow and you had not shared your love yet, you had only shared one kiss a week before the war broke out. While being carried you could see the state of the surrounding areas. Everything had been reduced to rubble, by the one who seemed to care for you.
"That Mutt better not have anything to you" Shadow muttered, carrying you into an underground bunker.
You were now in a concrete underground room that contained a few camp beds, a computer and some bags which contained medical supplies. You responded to Shadow by shaking your head, you hid your belly, so he didn't notice how rounded your belly was. Shadow laid you on a bed and approached two women who had just finished putting bandages on an injured resistance member.
"Check over Y/N, I will go help Sonic the mutt once and for all," Shadow said, to the woman before vanishing out of the bunker.
A woman who was a rabbit approached you: "Hello darling, I'm Vanilla, I will be your nurse today" she told you, smiling.
'Look, I'm not injured I was just kidnapped by the enemy" you tell her, worrying about her finding out your secret.
"Oh my, that must've been terrifying. Did he hurt you?" She asked, holding your arms and inspecting for bruises.
"Other than being knocked out when I was abducted and the tight handcuffs. I'm fine" You reply, not wanting her to check you over.
"You got off lightly, that Infinite guy has been killing thousands every day, do you know why he didn't hurt you or did worse?" She asked, suddenly placing a hand on your belly.
"Oh my..." She gasped, feeling your belly.
"it's nothing." You lie, rolling over not wanting Shadow to know.
"Sweetie, it's ok. I'm a mother to a 6-year-old so I know the feeling of a pregnant belly." She reassured, placing a hand on your shoulder.
You then sat up with tears dripping down your cheeks.
"Don't tell Shadow." You respond, choking through your tears.
"I won't darling" She reassured, pulling you in for a hug, letting you cry on her shoulder.
You embraced her hug, crying over her shoulder, before laying back down on the bed.
"I'm so scared, Shadow's going to make me get rid of my child." You sobbed, shivering a little.
"No, he won't! If you want your child, have your child. He has no rights over what you do with your body." Vanilla said sternly.
"What if he leaves me." You respond, wiping the tears off your cheek.
"If he does that, he wasn't the one for you. I'm also a single Mum so I'm willing to help." Vanilla offered.
You then placed your hand on your belly and whispered to your unborn child: "I'm going to protect and love you despite the circumstances at this present time."
