Let's play a game. The game is called 'Where was this written?' I'll tell you: Sonic. With my (homophobic) grandma and brother in the car. So yeah.
P.S: Steve and Bucky live alone here.

Steve woke up to see Bucky jumping on the bed, shouting at the top of his lungs.
"Come on, Steve! Wake up! We gotta go!"
"I don't even think they're open yet, Buck."
"They will be when you get ready!"
"If I get up, will you be quiet?"
"Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes yes!"
Steve crawled out of bed and moped to his closet to get dressed. He got dressed and went downstairs to get Bucky and saw him sitting on the couch, twiddling his thumbs with a ear-to-ear smile.
"Ready?" Steve asked, though he already knew the answer. He hadn't heard Bucky say yes this many times since- nevermind.
"Yes!" Bucky screamed, jumping up from his spot on the couch. They walked out of the house and got into their shared car. The whole way there, Bucky was humming songs from the late 30's. It kind of got on Steve's nerves but it was also kinda cute so Steve let it go. When they got there, Bucky was out of the car and walking to the door before Steve even got his seatbelt off.
"Hold on!" Steve shouted when he got his door open. Bucky huffed and crossed his arms like a little kid, but he stayed right outside the door. When Steve got to the door Bucky pulled on the door but it didn't open. He pulled again, nothing.
"Hey Buck?" Steve said with a smirk.
"Yeah?" Bucky said sadly.
"It's a push door."
"Oh." He pushes on the door and Bucky runs off, leaving Steve in the entry way. Steve walked off in the general direction of Bucky.
"What are you looking for?" A pet shop worker asked.
"My boyfriend. Have you seen him? He has a metal arm and a goofy smile." The worker pointed to where the puppies were.
"Oh no." Steve whispered to himself. He walked over there and saw Bucky playing with a little black puppy with three legs. Steve put his hand on Bucky's shoulder and Bucky looked up at him with excitement in his eyes. Steve thought it over and nodded. Bucky stood up and bent down and scooped the puppy up. They went through the whole adoption process and got in the car to take the puppy home.
"You know," Steve said "this thing's gonna be hell."
"I know." Bucky said before leaning over the console and kissing Steve.
