Here is a new perspective! This chapter is a bit short, but enjoy!

Change of POV
Apparently, Hendrix did not know how to properly break a human. Back at the Monterey Market I had only shown interest in the filthy girl due to the attention she was attracting. I would throw around my influence to get her back down to a cheap price and toss her in with the other humans once we got back. She was below my standards when it came to humans, but I could have gifted her to my pack to break the wild human spirit. It wouldn't have been difficult.
Hendrix had to come in, however, and make a fool out of me. Flaunting his wealth like an overgroomed peacock as he bought the girl out from under me. The sheer humiliation was not worth the trouble. I knew he had done it to just one up me, so the human wouldn't last long with him. I just didn't expect her to be standing in Wistering Heights' kitchen a mere week later: Still a virgin, and still looking me in the eye as if we were equals. That vampire bastard didn't even do anything with the girl and simply sold her off at a loss, just to put me in my place.
When I heard the human's dismissive tone, I was ready to give her the beating that she should have received in the first place, but I was stopped by the werewolf pup. The insolence and disgust in the human's eyes changed to concern and care when it came to the youth. She couldn't have been here long, but she was holding and hugging the pup as if he were a human child. Her soft smile and gentle eyes made my tail twitch.
This couldn't be real. She was playing us for fools. Humans were notoriously tricky and manipulative, and they had a tendency to take advantage of us werewolves' loyal and trusting natures. She was cunning, I'd give her that. Getting in with an alpha's pup was probably the quickest and least risky way to get up the ranks for a human. I'm impressed she figured this out so quickly, but I wasn't going to be fooled by her sweet act.
When the pups' mother showed us the video, I was surprised by what I saw. Her reaction to seeing the pup in danger was automatic. By how quickly she moved she had to be relying on pure instinct. There was no time for her to calculate or weigh options. The tenderness she showed the frightened werewolf was sincere and consistent. Even if I were to believe she was putting on a show, she never once glanced at the camera. Her little act at the end when the pup had "stabbed" her was cute, over the top, and senseless. These weren't the actions of a human with an agenda, but a human who was genuinely concerned with a child's wellbeing.
I studied the human. I may have misjudged her, and she may have been wasted on someone like Hendrix. Her eyes shifted to meet mine, and that was when I noticed the golden tint to her brown eyes. I quickly looked away and busied myself with the autograph. She was still a human, so only time will tell if she is as she seems.
After the human left with the pup in hand I had to disentangle myself from my alpha fans. My pack mates were still perusing the humans in the kitchen, but I had lost all interest. "Hey, I'll see you guys later. I got some work to do."
"Aww. Come on, man! You're always busy," Gerald complained.
"Hey, it takes work to be a successful idol. If I goofed off as much as you two, then I'd be as successful as you two."
"Don't be like that... Well, next time then," Gerald relented and went back to sniffing out the girls.
I rolled my eyes, and strode out of the kitchen to the nearest elevator. I did have work to do, but I really didn't want to do it. I was supposed to be working on my new single, but something was missing. No matter what chord progression I did, or vocals I added it never got to where I was satisfied with it. I had a producer and manager breathing down my neck, but I still couldn't get it to where I was content. At this point I may have to release a subpar single, or cancel the release altogether. I had until the end of the week to make my decision and the date was approaching faster than I would like.
Once I returned to my room my two marked humans were eagerly waiting for me. Unlike that wild human, these were women worth the money. They had flowing styled hair, sleek voluptuous bodies, and poster girl faces. They knew all the ways I liked to unwind, and did so readily. Once I sat on my large bed, the two crawled over to me and started massaging my back and running their hands through my hair.
I stared at my sound proof music studio in the corner of my room with disdain. There was a time that I loved making songs and singing on demand. The scream of my fans was all I needed to be inspired for the next set. Now it was more like a chore I forced myself to do. Frustrated I took one on my humans and laid her beneath me. She knew what was coming, and wrapped her legs around me. I spent the rest of the day grinding and banging out my nervous energy. By the time I felt I could get some work done, my two humans laid on the bed exhausted and unable to move. I glanced at them reproachfully. I may need to get some new ones.
Days passed like hours. There were only three days left to the deadline, and I was at my wits end. I tried changing the lyrics, the tone, and even the musicians. Why wasn't it working?! I tore up my last remaining pillow in my empty room. I had handed my humans off to my pack. They weren't helping, and time was running out. There was only one thing left to do. I threw the shredded pillow carcass on the bed and stormed out of the room.
There was only one place that could relax me enough when I got this worked up. It was the right time of night, and I was out of options. I quickly went to the elevator and went down to the basement floor. It wasn't long until I found myself outside of the nursery. Just as I thought, the nursery was vacant at this time of night.
Ever since I was young, I loved the nursery during the early morning. The environment was soothing and innocent. It was always quiet here outside of the occasional whimper of a dreaming pup. The silence helped me think, and the nursery reminded me of my carefree childhood.
I quietly opened the baby gate to the corridor then to the hall where I liked to pace up and down while thinking my thoughts. It wasn't long until I heard the constant screaming of a baby werewolf. I sighed. Of all nights for a baby to have colic at this hour. The world must be against me. I turned to leave when I suddenly heard a sweet melodic voice singing a lullaby I've never heard before. The baby werewolf quickly fell silent, as the voice grew more confident and angelic. I crept closer to hear the voice better. A werewolf parent must have come to soothe her baby, but I had not heard a voice like this before. The notes that hung in the air made chills run down my spine. My ears wanted the noise to never stop, and my tail started wagging on its own accord. This was what my song needed! This airy, but strong tone would send it over the edge.
I carefully snuck closer to the door and peeked inside. It was dark, but my eyes could easily see every detail. I saw the swaying form bouncing a baby in her arms, and when she turned, I held in a gasp. It was that human! Certain I was seeing things I looked closer, and sure enough her mouth was moving to the lullaby, her breathing matched the breaths, and her body swayed to the rhythm. Her face was so serene and at ease. Singing seemed like second-nature to her.
I quickly pulled back and pressed against the wall. This couldn't be happening. Humans couldn't sing! At least not on this continent. Whenever they tried it sounded like a spoon stuck in a garbage disposal harmonizing with a screaming kettle. With our sensitive ears we had quickly banned humans from humming or singing in our presence, but this human sang so naturally. In fact, it may be better than most werewolves I knew, and we were experts at singing.
I snuck one last peak, and the human was finishing her lullaby while carefully lowering the infant into its crib. I had to know more. If this human could really sing, then all my problems could be solved. I may become the most famous idol in history.
