Boston, Hayley looked out the windows of the venue that the FIND YOURSELF launch introduction party was being held in and she balanced the tray of canapes on her hand and circulated the room offering the delicacies to those that shook their heads or ignored her as they listened to the guy on stage giving his spiel about finding family.
"Look Hales goodie bags," Evie held up two FIND YOURSELF gift bags out in the kitchen after the event, and Hayley frowned her lip curling in distaste, "Oh come on Hayley you have no family this has a free DNA test inside you never know you might find yourself some family you never knew about," Hayley raised an eyebrow at Evie, "It's worth a try," Evie enticed with a grin dangling the gift bag from her fingers in front of Hayley and Hayley sighed and took it with a small smile.
Home in her small Boston apartment Hayley showered and in her big t shirt sat on the sofa and pulled the goodies bag towards her and tipped out the contents, seeing the DNA test kit she held it between her fingers, Evie was right she should see if she had any family out there, She had known Evie since she was sixteen having met her after being kicked out of her foster parents house after she turned into a wolf, after the hiking accident she had been on with Jake and Sally, Sally had slipped and gone over a cliff, Hayley had held Sally by the hands trying to lift her back over the lip of the cliff, Jake had stopped to tie his shoelace and was nowhere near to help, and Sally's fingers had just slipped from Hayley's fingers plunging to the rocks below and breaking her neck, Hayley had been so shocked to find out she changed into a wolf on Full Moons that first time, she had taken to the streets and lived on them for the next three years avoiding people her guilt over Sally and the fact she was a monster keeping her to the shadows of life, until she had met Evie at the Boston train platform a street kid too, they had both become firm friends and pulled themselves together, getting jobs then sharing an apartment until they had worked and made enough money to live indepently, each getting their own apartments and now both of them at twenty three, had secure incomes, but Hayley had never told Evie she was a werewolf she just disappeared on Full Moons and Evie had stopped questioning Hayley about her disappearances on full moons years ago.
