Third Person P.O.V.
"I am ... a legend, now!" Zhao reaches a hand into the pond, pulling Tui out and into a bag. "The Fire Nation will, for generations, tell stories about the great Zhao, who darkened the moon. They will call me, Zhao the Conqueror, Zhao the Moon Slayer, Zhao the Invincible!" But he would be none of those things. Momo jumps on top of Zhao's head. "Ugh ... Get it off! Get it off!" Momo flies and lands on Aang's shoulder, prompting the soldiers to ready for a fight. "Don't bother." Zhao lifts the sack up, threatening to kill Tui.
"Zhao, don't!" Aang demands. "It's my destiny, to destroy the moon and the Water Tribe. "Destroying the moon won't hurt just the Water Tribe. It will hurt everyone, including you. Without the moon, everything would fall out of balance. You have no idea what kind of chaos that would unleash on the world." Iron walks into the light, a hood covering his face. "He is right Zhao."
"General Iroh, why am I not surprised to discover your treachery?" Zhao sneers. "I'm no traitor, Zhao, the Fire Nation needs the moon, too; we all depend on the balance. Whatever you do to that spirit I'll unleash on you ten-fold. Let it go, now!" Zhao releases the koi fish into the oasis. He hesitates but gives into striking the koi fish with a fire slice out of anger. The moon seems to completely wither away, and world seems gray: devoid of life.
(Y/n) stumbles, noticing the shift in balance. She notices the moon's disappearance, and considers for a moment running, sprinting, to her family. But she made her choices, and trusts that if nothing else, the Avatar will correct it.
Iroh begins firebending at Zhao with vengeance for his niece, the moon, the world. Zhao dodges and counters his firebending while retreating toward his firebending soldiers. They are swiftly defeated as Zhao escapes.
La circles the now dead Tui. Morose and discouragement fills the air. The group seems to be in disbelief, so much so that no one notices Zuko's disappearance. He had a new target in mind.
Iroh picks up the dead spirit mournfully. "There's no hope now, it's over." Yue cries. Anger fills Aang's features, and his tattoos glow once again. "No, it's not over." Aang enters the pond, and takes a meditative stance. La circles him curiously. Aang and La connect, and their eyes light up. Aang as he descends into the water, and the whole oasis fills with blue lightning-like energy. The energy moves to the edge of the oasis, rising up to form a giant amphibious-like creature, facing out toward the sea, with Aang in the center, controlling it.
Fire Nation soldiers in the city loojed on at this creature's sudden appearance. The Water Tribe all bow down to their beloved spirit as the Fire Nation soldiers prepare to attack. Aang, controlling the massive creature, begins to head to the ocean, laying waste to any Fire Nation soldiers on the way. Nearby, Zhao, continues to flee only to be attacked by Zuko. "You're alive?"
"You tried to have me killed!" He yells furiously. "You killed my sister!" He holds nothing back as he attacks Zhao. "Yes I did. You're the Blue Spirit, an enemy of the Fire Nation! You freed the Avatar."
"I had no choice." Zuko continues his attacks, but they are blocked by Zhao. "You should have chosen to accept your failure; you're a disgrace. Then, at least, that weak nonbender could have lived!" Zuko filled with rage, and went for blood.
Back at the oasis, Iroh places the dead koi fish in the water respectfully. "It's too late, it's dead." Katara whispers. Iroh grimaces; dead. Like his son, like his niece. "So is (Y/n). I fear Zuko will be even angrier and more ruthless than before." He warns. Before they can ingest the information, Iroh looks to the white haired girl, and realizes something. "You have been touched by the Moon Spirit. Some of its life is in you."
"Yes, you're right. It gave me life, maybe I can give it back." Yue says with determination. For her people, for the world, for Sokka. "No! You don't have to do that." Sokka reaches to stop her, but she shakes her head. "It's my duty, Sokka."
"I won't let you! Your father told me to protect you."
"I have to do this." Yue's hand slips out of Sokka's as she places her hands on the koi fish. The koi begins to glow and Yue closes her eyes. Yue falls as Sokka catches her. "No!" Tears flow down his cheeks. "She's gone, she's gone." He despairs. Yue fades and disappears as the koi begins to light up. Iroh places the koi back into the pond. The entire lake begins to glow until energy floats up into the air forming an image of Yue. "Goodbye, Sokka." She kisses him softly, and Sokka wonders if he will ever find someone he could care for so much. Someone so fiercely loving. "I'll always be with you."
Yue disappears as Sokka looks up to the moon reappearing in the sky.
Ignorant to the current turmoil and loss, (Y/n) smiles to herself to see the success. Someone had made things right. She hoped one day, she'd do something right too.
Zhao notices the moon has returned, distracting him from his fight to give Zuko the upper hand. But before he can do anything with it, the fish spirit grabs Zhao and drags him towards certain death. Some part of Zuko wants to let it happen, a poetic, karmic end, but as much as he hated it, Zuko still had a good heart. "Take my hand!" Zhao considers it for a moment before retracting his hand. The hand plummets into the water, Zhao along with it, and dissipates. It was hard for Zuko to feel bad.
Bigger fish were bubbling in the Fire nation though. A golden eyes girl was called into her father's war room to be assigned a new job. "Iroh is a traitor, and your brother Zuko is a failure. I have a task for you." His voice was dangerous and unforgiving. The younger princess looks and smiles, set on her way to her idea of glory.
