Yesterday was a bittersweet day; the morning was filled with anxious excitement, with Mia and I nervous about being introduced to BTS' fans. It had been decided for the guys to formally announce they had found their soulmates, with an informal livestream to be held later in the day where Mia and I would join our men. Yoongi and I didn't want Sophie to join us because we both wanted to keep her face out of the limelight.

Thankfully the press conference went smoothly. It was the first time I had a front-row seat of watching Yoongi and the guys schmooze with journalists and paparazzi. I was so proud of them – they did so well being under the watchful, scrutinising eyes of all in the room. I wouldn't have been able to hold my composure like they did, especially when some of the journalists had asked inappropriate or rude questions.

My favourite question was when the four of us were asked to show our tattoos; my boyfriend shut that down quickly stating that his and mine were in places that would compromise decency. The pervert masquerading as a journalist quickly added on that they could blur my tits or ass, that they had a right to see what made us destined for one another. My blood started boiling when he tried to start a chant ordering us to "take it off", which thankfully only earned him being thrown out and barred from attending any further BTS events.

The livestream was the complete opposite of the press junket – it was so much fun. At first, I was super awkward speaking to a camera. Between Yoongi's pale veiny hand holding mine so strong but tenderly, and me holding the phone so we could see the comments, I was able to keep my nerves at bay and all the awkwardness dropped away the longer I was there.

For the first 15 minutes or so, the four of us talked casually as if we were catching up together. Mia and I introduced ourselves and we each recounted our 'soulmate stories'. I saw the comments went wild upon hearing that Yoongi is secretly very romantic.

My heart sung when Yoongi told ARMY that he was the first dad in Bangtan. His face lit up when he talked about Sophie, and thankfully he remembered what we had discussed earlier about only sharing small titbits of information about our daughter. All ARMY heard about her was her first name, how I had adopted her several years ago, and some of the things she had done with Yoongi and BTS both here and in Brisbane.

At around the 20-minute mark, the rest of Bangtan joined us, with Nari and Iseul staying with Sophie in her bedroom, where they were watching on a tablet. The nine of us played some games that allowed the fans to see more of our lives together.

I tried not to pay much mind to the comments coming through, but my eyes were drawn to some of them. The majority were different forms of congratulations and love to one or both men, but there were lots that were not happy, and some downright nasty and hateful – these became more prevalent when the fact I had a daughter before I met Yoongi came out.

Mia and I had been prewarned about the fact that not all viewers were ARMY, and that anti and sasaeng fans also came to watch. Joon and Jin both reminded my cousin and I that the comments we may see do not define us, they won't affect the way the others in our Bangtan family see or love us, and the commenters are either jealous or unhappy and like to bring others down too. I kept all of this in the back of my mind when I saw the negative comments, trying to not to read them. Thankfully, Yoongi took the device from me, opting to read comments aloud so he could filter them.
