23 September 2022 – Osaka, Japan
"I'm so excited!" I couldn't stop my leg from bouncing, much to the annoyance of my tired fiancé.
"My love," Yoongi whined, trying to calm me down. "If you want to see your rap god soulmate at his peak, you need to let him rest."
We were currently backstage at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka waiting while the last of the sound and lighting preparations were finalised. In a matter of hours, BTS would be kicking off their first leg of the world tour, starting with four shows in Japan. It was crazy to think that in two days we would be doing this again in Nagoya, and then Tokyo on the 30th and then Sapporo on 2nd October.
Normally there was a bigger gap between destinations, but because of the extended break the band had taken while I recovered, the guys and HYBE decided to add in extra stops to the tour. HYBE had actually created two full stages complete with a fully-manned team each, so while one was being used by the guys, the other was being set up in the next city. It was like a very expensive, very intricate game of leapfrog with concert stages.
ARMY was super excited about the tour, especially the fans in Asia and Oceania, where the first leg was kicking off from. Along with Japan, we would be heading to Shanghai, with a few days off before they performed in Hong Kong. After there, we fly to Pasay (in the Philippines), Jakarta for the Indonesian ARMYs, Auckland and then finally we to head back to my home country, where fans in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane could see the guys perform.
It would be a long, hard and very tiring seven weeks away from home, but everyone was excited, especially about the month off we would have in Australia. I had a couple of prior engagements I needed to attend back home, which Yoongi had graciously agreed to come with me and even roped in the others to join.
Deciding to let my soulmate rest, I looked around the room to see who else I could talk with. Sophie was currently working with her tutor, Hwang Jihye, whom Yoongi had hired to travel with us. Jihye was a young and very pretty woman, whom I was a little nervous of being around not only my extremely handsome soulmate, but his six brothers. Yoongi had laughed seeing the look on my face after the interview had finished; sometimes I hated how he could read my thoughts and feelings so easily. "My love, you have no reason to worry with Jihye trying to steal me away from you," he had said with his hands cradling my face as he gazed into my eyes. "If anything, I'm the one who should be worried since she was clearly checking you out. Besides, her wife is one of the tour managers."
As I headed over to the refreshments table, my phone chimed. I smiled seeing the photo Yoongi's mum had sent through of our little Ohana sleeping with Holly on the couch. Like the rest of the Bangtan pets, Ohana was having an extended vacation at the members' parents' places. Eomma and Appa, who were used to looking after the doggy fur-grandbaby, were excited to look after the kitten too; Appa was looking forward to having another nap buddy, since Holly often joined him for his afternoon kips.
