When I got older, I thought the Easter Bunny was not real.

My adult brain had told me: "How could it have been? A humanoid rabbit crossing in one night the seven seas?

Think for a change, will you? Oh wait, that's on me....

I've thought and I've thought. It's just impossible, you see?"

So my life lost its colour, like the lives of adults often do, when they stop believing in things like the Easter Bunny and you.

Life was dull, it lost more magic every single day.

But then something happened that fought back the gray...

One Sunday morning, I woke up to take a leak.

I opened the door to the bathroom and heard someone behind me speak.

"Let me go first! I really have to go.
If you thought they built loos in that thing, then you're dreadfully wrong."

And up something ran past me and closed the bathroom door.

☆:🦸:☆

I waited and waited for them to finally get out. "Hurry up! I have to go too, you know?"

A flush later, the door swung open to my very relief and hup a bunny hopped out of the bathroom to my own disbelief!

I couldn't yet say much - the pressure had gotten high - so I rushed in the bathroom myself and went with a satisfied sigh.

"I must have dreamt that," my brain said to me. "There's only a cat here, you just wait and see."

I washed my hands and went back to bed.

☆:🦸:☆

My head hit the pillow, when I heard something in the shed...

I tried to ignore it, but it got much too loud, so I hopped out off bed; my mind a thundercloud.

It boomed and it beeped. It fumed and it seeped.

"Will you stop this nonsense?! Let me finally get some sleep!"

"Oops," the bunny went. "Now you're awake, mind helping me a hand?"

I rubbed my eyes. It was a funny sight: the bunny stood in my shed with Santa's sleigh!

"What did you do? What have you done?!"

"Chill, relax. Help me and I'm gone."

☆:🦸:☆

I helped the bunny swap some cables underneath the sleigh.

The sleigh started humming. "Yehee, hooray!"

The bunny crawled on the sleigh and took ahold of its reins.

"It was wonderful to meet you," the bunny said to me.

"But don't tell anyone about this. You see...

Santa doesn't know. But I have to hurry quick. I gotta now go."

The bunny switched some switches on.

It winked and when I blinked... the bunny and sleigh had gone.

☆:🦸:☆

I crawled back in bed and wondered what I had seen.

"Human, what a crazy Easter morning has it been!"
