"Hello son. How's it going?" I speak into the phone.
"It's great to hear from you, sir. I'm well. How have you been?" the groggy voice on the other end of the call responds.
"I've been just fine. So, are you interested?" I say to the boy, getting straight to the point. My next meeting is in eight minutes. I don't have time to waste.
"Yes sir. I accept your offer."
"Good. You will be sent further details soon. I'm pleased you made the right decision." I twirl my pen around my thumb.
"Of course. You know I'd do anything for her."
"Oh, I know. Talk soon."
I hang up the phone.
