When Diane left ,we were all silent for a minute.
"Thanks for standing up for me guys." I said
"Yea no problem she can be a royal pain in the ass sometime" Sammy responded
"Yeah bug, don't worry about it, if anything you keep us all a little more sane." He giggled " just don't tell Jake because he would have lost his shit; he has been trying to get rid of her for months but we haven't found a replacement yet."
"Oh wow, alright well let's get this place back in shape" I said as I grabbed our dishes and started on the kitchen.
Danny smiled at me and headed to the living room to start cleaning while I could hear Sam go upstairs and start some laundry.A few hours later we were almost done cleaning and I went up stairs to do my laundry .
Sammy then snuck up behind me and scared the shit out of me.
"Boo" he screamed and I accidentally hit him in the face, trying to defend myself .
"Holy fuck Sam I am so sorry .you can't do that you scared me."
"Damn girl that was a powerful swing." He said trying to stretch out his jaw.
" sorry, is there a reason you came in here to do that? " I asked
"Um yeah, so that Meg girl?"
"Yeah what about her? You keep bringing her up." I said curiously
"Oh um..." he paused "I just thought she was really cool and yeah."
"Hmm , sounds like someone has a little crush." I said trying to push his buttons and he blushed
"It is not a crush! I just think she is pretty... or uh pr -pretty ...uh... pretty cool. He stuttered trying to catch his mistake." He got flustered and walked out of the laundry room.
I had no clue that he actually thought that way.Just then the love of my life, I mean Danny walked upstairs as he was hanging up the phone.
"Hey gorgeous, quick question"
"Yeah bubs what's up?"
"Umm the twins wanted to go downtown and bar hop this evening and I told them I wasn't going unless you were, they said you can bring the girls if you wanted too."
"Umm yes that sounds like fun, I will call them!"
Immediately after that I called Meg and told her to bring Cait and KK to the house at 5:00
They were so excited.
I went ahead and got ready bc my now It was almost 3:30.
I showered, got changed and so my hair and makeup and walked back downstairs finally with only a slight limp when I had my brace on.
I was starving so I grabbed a granola bar and unloaded the dishwasher. By the time I was done with that the girls were pulling in the driveway.
I ran out to go get the girls,I gave them all a huge hugged and walked them inside.
" Hey ladies, long time no see." Danny joked
"Kk this is Danny." I finally introduced them
"Oh yeah nice to formally meet you." Danny shook kk's hand
" yeah you too, Kya never shuts up about you." She said as I elbowed her in the side
Daniel winked at me
"Oh hey guys" Sammy started as he was smiling a little harder than usual. "Oh I haven't met you yet." He said reaching out to shake KK's hand.
"Kk, it is nice to meet you." She said introducing herself
"Yea you too" just then a massive black Mercedes van pulled down the driveway.
Then twins hopped out of the back and let themselves in.
"Hey Mamas" josh said hugging me first .Jake followed shortly after for his hug.
They twins then both hugged Meg and Cait until the stopped at Kk.
"Oh why hello, and who might you be?" Josh asked with the biggest smile
She blushed hard. "Um the girls call me Kk."
"Well Kk it is a pleasure to meet you." He said still holding her hand from shaking it.
Then Jake nudged him out of the way.
"Yeah nice to meet you" he said shaking her hand too.
"Alright,let's go!" I said grabbing Danny's hand
I sat in the passenger seat to let everyone else sit together. Danny ,Josh and Kk sat in the very back ,Sam and Meg in the middle row and Jake and Cait in the front row. We headed downtown all laughing and giggling on our way there.We were all smiles when we pulled up to this underground bar.
We all hopped out and walked in together in a big group. We sat down at an empty round booth close to the bar. This was a nicer bar than the last one and with less people. Someone came around to take our orders and we all got drinks, of course,and some bar food for the table.
When we got our drinks we all cheered up and started the fun.
We were all having a blast, again the conversations were so organic and natural it all just felt right. I noticed the brothers each taking an interest in my roomies and it was the coolest interaction ever. We walked around downtown and stopped at a few more small bars.
By the time we were ready to leave, the boys had been noticed a couple of times, but nothing crazy like last time.
Danny stayed close, either holding my hand or with his arm around me.
We all climbed back in the van and headed back to the house. The girls and the twins were so hammered so no one was driving home. But we all got back and played some more board games and had another drunk jam session and I heard a new song but no one else noticed.
Around three we all headed to bed,the three girls in my room and me and Danny in his like usual lately.
We fell asleep.
The next morning we woke up around 8 and to our surprise , Sam and Meg were on the couch upstairs in the den laughing and talking about who knows what. We walked downstairs to find the twins both talking to Kk and Cait.
We were the last ones awake.... That's weird.
We then got some coffee and I started on some breakfast for all of us.
About an hour later we were all squeezed in around the dinner table for breakfast.
After we ate,everyone said goodbye and left the house.
