love in motion

hues of peach and tangerine, the sky their canvas;
the song of hermits and the calm breeze,
they're writing a story,
in smooth fonts, no full stops;
this is where it starts, isn't it?
the pleasant warmth of the sun making your skin a tint of gold,
running through fields of dandelions,
azure stream flowing by,
the inflorescence, the cotton candy skies, my glitter tears,
your glimmer is too blinding but I daren't look away.

summer nights, the fireflies lighting the sky up, and the sound of waves crashing the shore,
quartz sand and colored shells,
the silence is comforting, my hand in yours,
these moments are ours and ours alone,
like footprints in the sand, they'd get washed away,
somewhere lost in the tides;
even so, time's stationary as of now, I daren't look away.

the fall approaches, leaves bidding farewell to the trees,
chilly mornings, our paths amber;
decline and decay, showing us the beauty in imperfections;
scrutinizing and scrimmaging, the sun is tired, and as it rains,
our vision starts to blur,
in whatever way our souls might be intertwined,
we always find our way back;
the cinnamon cedar-colored manor,
forgotten love poems, pattering raindrops,
us dancing away as slow music plays;
your walnut eyes staring straight into mine, I daren't look away.

a blanket of white, arctic air;
infinitely various yet infinitely repetitious snowflakes,
your presence engulfs me, keeping me warm;
a cup of mocha and my favorite sweater,
like dried-up pieces of flowers I'll keep all that you hide, hidden between the pages of my dearest book,
tincture of blush, the mole on your chin,
my whole being is mesmerized, I daren't look away.

the trees will give birth to new buds again,
five springs and autumns and everything along the way,
the seasons may end but this story will stay,
you had my heart, then and now;

I will never look away.
