"It's a pity that it ended the same," I heard a soft voice coming from above and my eyes shot open as I saw a woman gazing down at me.

I rolled over to my side and pushed myself off the ground and got up on my feet as I kept my eyes on her. The woman standing before me resembled a divine being. She wore a long white dress with a long sheer cape trailing behind her. The gold accents that adorned her dress complimented her long, wavy gold locks that flowed past her waist.

"You're...?" I questioned with wary eyes.

"I'm the one who helped him acquire his memories."

"Then... does that mean you're here to help me?"

She nodded her head and firmly asked, "Do you wish to see him again?"

"Of course I do."

"He waited a century for you. Would you do the same for him?"

I silently nodded my head with tears forming in my eyes. "I would wait as long as I need to, an eternity if I have to."

"He said the same thing," she chuckled with a smile on her lips. "Very well then, I'll allow the two of you to remember your past lives however, you won't regain your memories until a certain day at the age of 22. Be mindful though, it's an age where some already have partners, so there's no guarantee you two will decide to choose each other. If you do, then when those memories come back, it's up to you two to find each other from across the world."

I processed everything she said, but there was an uneasy feeling stirring inside me as I wondered,

'Would he still choose me even if he was already committed to someone else?

Would I do the same?

Find each other across the world, what if we end up missing each other?'

The divine being sensed my worries and observed the conflict in my (e/c) eyes but assured me by lightly squeezing my hand. "You'll find each other. That's what love is all about."

I averted my eyes from her and a smile formed on my lips at the thought of him and his smile. The divine being before me disappeared into tiny flakes of gold and I was left standing there alone with nothing to do except wallow and wither away in my own thoughts.

We shall meet again in the place that is called destiny
