~Seungmin POV~

My eyes flew open and I automatically gasped for air with my hands frantically touching my neck. But the sudden sharp intake of air made me cough and I rolled over to my side as I lightly held my neck.

I was able to regain and steady my breath after a couple of minutes and started to process my surrounding. I lay in an endless white oblivion and as I slowly pushed myself off the ground, there was not a single soul wandering around.

"Is this what they call the afterlife?" I muttered to myself and scratched the back of my head as I did not know whether to stay put or aimlessly wander around.

"Hello?" I called out.

"I heard your cry from the heavens," softly spoke an unknown feminine voice from behind and when I whipped my head around, I saw no one there.

"Who... are you? Show yourself."

"I am who you call a divine being, but I would rather not reveal myself."

"Then where am I? Is this a place for the dead?"

"You could say that, but this place is a little different. As I mentioned earlier, I heard your anguished cries and took pity on your poor soul for what you had to endure in a place that was once blessed by us. The reason why you're here is because I have a proposition... do you wish to see her again?"

I knew in a heartbeat who the divine being was referring to and my eyes brightened at the thought of seeing her again. "Yes! Is she here?"

"I'm sorry but she's not here. Her soul is resting elsewhere."

A frown appeared on my face and I couldn't help but sulk because even in death, I could not be with her.

"Would you wait a century for her?"

"I would wait an eternity for her," I confidently stated without hesitation.

"I will help you two reunite. After a century has passed, you two will be reborn and meet again with no recollection of your memories, but you will regain them once you touch her hand. However, you will live a short life. Is that something you are willing to wager?"

"I would do anything for her."

Although it was not visible, a smile spread on the divine being's lips. "Then it's settled. Please close your eyes."

I did as told and a warm feeling enveloped my forehead until that warmth turned searing hot and I flinched back when I felt a spark sting me.

I opened my eyes and rubbed my forehead with my hand to ease the slight redness.

"I have sealed away your memories and it will come undone when that time comes."

"Will she regain her memories too?" I asked.

"She will not but maybe in due time she will. Until that time comes, you shall wait and suffer a never ending loneliness here."

Her voice faded away at the end and I was left alone in complete silence as I looked around with my heart sinking because there was nothing I could do here except let my mind and heart drive me insane.

And so I waited a torturing loneliness until my body faded away
