Ominis POV
Location Setting: Hospital Wing
"Ominis, have you heard?!" Imelda rushed towards the Slytherin common room, calling out my name. "Professor Garlick found Sebastian unconscious in the Forbidden Forest!" she exclaimed, her expression full of concern.
Unconscious? That was not the news I had hoped to hear after allowing them to leave yesterday. "Where is he now?" I asked Imelda urgently. "He's in the Hospital Wing, let's hurry," she replied, and we both ran as fast as we could.
Imelda and I arrived at the hospital wing, where we found Professor Garlick and Nurse Blainey tending to the unconscious figure of our friend. "What happened to him?" I asked, concern evident in my voice.
"Oh hello there, Mr Gaunt and Miss Reyes," Professor Garlick replied as she turned herself around. "We found him lying unconscious in the Forbidden Forest. He appears to have been attacked, it seems he was scratched by inferis and spiders."
Inferis? Spiders? Y/n told me it was about warning the merfolk. Should be harmless enough, but why is Sebastian lying here unconscious? "Wait... is Y/n save too, professor?"
Professor Garlick was suprised by my questioned, "Y/n? No, there was no Y/n at the scene, why is that?"
"Y/n was there. She should be with Sebastian." She couldn't just leave Sebastian alone, there must be something had happened. I started to shake my head disagreed with Professor Garlick's words.
"Professor, the ministry are tracking us right? Can you ask them to track Y/n location?" I asked hoping for a good answer to come.
She sighed, "We could, Mr. Gaunt but Y/n had been an exception towards the tracking spell. She was allowed roaming around by the ministry, so she could collect more ancient magic that was scattered around after the fight with Ranrok."
I felt a knot form in my stomach. If Y/n wasn't with Sebastian, then where could she be? "We have to find her," I said firmly. "She could be in danger too."
Professor Garlick nodded. "I'll send some Aurors to search for her and let the other professors know immediately. But in the meantime, we need to focus on helping Sebastian."
Nurse Blainey interrupted our conversation, "He'll be fine, the wounds from the inferis and spider bites could take some time to cure. He'll need to rest for a while though."
I breathed a sigh of relief, but my mind was still focused on finding Y/n. "I'll help with the search," I said determinedly. "We have to find her before it's too late."
"Settle down now, Gaunt. For now, it's best for you to stay put and let the aurors help. You should know that your friend are one of the greatest witch there is," she said, calming me down.
Greatest witch? Blimey that! I scowled in my mind. Both of her and Sebastian always made me worried so much. So unthoughtful of the ministry to let a child handle such a big task. We are all still merely children.
Time passed, Professor Garlick and Imelda left the Hospital Wing after hours waiting for Sebastian's recovery.
"You idiot, you should be protecting her." I grabbed unto Sebastian's hand, tightened and scowl muttering in under my breath but still sadden to see my best friend laying unconsciously.
"Oh Sebastian, please do wake up." My hand clasped away from the grip as I traced my fingers down to his pocket.
"What's this?" I wondered when I feel something inside Sebastian's pocket. A gust of wind blown suddenly inside the Hospital Wing, Nurse Blainey are nowhere to be found near anymore.
