Ch 2: Unspoken Truths (Kara x Lena)

It was a quiet night in National City. Kara had just finished her duties as Supergirl and was heading back to her apartment. As she landed on her balcony, she saw Lena standing there, looking lost and vulnerable.

"Lena? What are you doing here?" Kara asked, surprised by Lena's unexpected presence.

Lena looked up, her eyes filled with tears. "Kara, I... I needed to see you," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kara's heart clenched at the sight of Lena in distress. She opened the balcony door, and Lena stepped inside. Kara could see the turmoil in Lena's eyes, and her Supergirl instincts kicked in.

"Is everything okay?" Kara asked, concern evident in her voice as she closed the door behind them.

Lena looked at Kara, her gaze lingering on her face. "No, it's not," she admitted, her voice shaky. "I've been keeping a secret from you, Kara."

Kara's brows furrowed, and she reached out to place a comforting hand on Lena's arm. "You can tell me anything, Lena. I'm here for you."

Lena took a deep breath, gathering her courage. "Kara, I... I'm in love with you," she confessed, her eyes locked with Kara's.

Lena's eyes widened in shock, but she didn't pull away from Kara's touch. "You're Supergirl?" she whispered, processing the revelation.

Kara nodded, tears filling her own eyes now. "I wanted to tell you, Lena. But I was afraid of losing you," she confessed, her voice cracking.

Lena reached up, wiping away Kara's tears with a gentle touch. "You didn't have to be afraid, Kara," she said softly. "I love you, Supergirl or not."
