chapter 6

Zoe pov

" Hi babe , come in " kissing him . When Andrew and I met it was in college first year though for him it was his final year . We started as friends with him helping with my assignments and all .

Until one day when he invited me to a party . We were dancing after taking some shots then we got carried away and started kissing . One thing led to another , the rest is history .

" Love we need to talk " he said sounding serious like yesterday . " Ok, let's go to my room . " I told him walking to my room , wondering what this is about .

" What would you like to drink ?"  I asked him. " Nothing for now maybe later " he replied seated on a side chair which he never does . Whenever he comes in my room he always lay on my bed , he says he likes the smell of me on my beddings.

" I got a promotion , that was the late meeting was about yesterday ." He said with a small smile on his face .  
" Awww.. . congratulations  babe this calls for a celebration ." Standing up to go and get some wine . 

" It's in London." My feet stopped moving , more like I have been paused with a remote .
 
" I have been to go and run our new branch in London ." Where his next words .

" When do you leave ?"

" In three days ."

" Three days ? "

" Yes ."

" Can you go with me , we can start our lives together there , maybe even get married ." He said with a smile . 

" What about Tia , my family , everything I know is here . "

" Love , Tia can take care of herself and you can come and visit your family whenever you want to " I am one person who don't like changing cities let alone countries , maybe just visiting . I have never thought of leaving this country .

" Babe am not ready to leave , I can't leave everything behind , not now ." I said with tears in my eyes threatening to fall .

" Love please let us just ,I promise I will take care of you , you won't have to work " he says holding my hands .

" Am sorry , maybe I might join you later on . When am sure my mom and my brother are stable enough to be on there  own ." I told him hoping he will understand .

" I understand " he leaving my hands . " But I can't do long distance relationship. "

" What ?" Is he breaking up with me .

" I love you , Zoe but I can't be in long distance I don't know when you will be ready to join me , so it's best for us to go our separate ways . " He said standing up and left .

I just sat there with tearing running down my face . I can't believe this is happening . Andrew broke up with me just like that after how many years of dating him.

" Zoe , Andrew has just left withou' baby  what's wrong? " Tia asked worried .

"He broke up with me, Andrew broke up with me Tee " I said breaking down. After all these years he chose his job over me .

I cried myself to sleep in Tia' s arms . When I woke up Tia was here with me . I told her everything that transpared between Andrew and I . She was fuming but what can she do , it has happened . Right now she is fixing us some dinner though am not in the mood to eat . But knowing her she will force me to.
