In the kitchen, Felicity washed three cups of rice and placed it in the rice cooker. She then watched Sam chopping some aromatics. He is preparing the ingredients needed for a beef stew dish. As the aroma of the beef stew filled the kitchen, Felicity couldn't help but feel excited about dinner.

"Hmm. I can't wait to taste the dish you made," Felicity said, drooling. "I'm amazed to see your skills in cooking. You can cook."

Sam grinned and his face turned red after hearing such compliments from the girl he admired. "Thanks."

"I'm back. Louise is already resting and for sure she is asleep. Poor girl, she has been in pain since lunch time," Julia said, joining their conversation.

"I was worried too. But knowing Louise, she will take everything in by herself to not cause nuisance to others." Felicity sighed.

"Don't worry dear Effie, she's in good hands. Sky is looking after her." Julia gave a reassuring look. Felicity smiled in response. "So, what level are you at high school right now?"

"Peter and I are both junior high schoolers. We're currently home-schooled. That's why we have the luxury of travelling without missing any classes."

"That's good to know. I am an advocate of having a good education and finishing your studies. Anyhow, what are your interests?" Julia asked.

"I love reading books and taking pictures during my free time. I also love going outdoors and enjoying nature," Felicity shared.

"I like that too. Let's go on a picnic one day when my schedule allows me to, okay?" Julia's anticipation was oozing.

"Sure. We will do that, I promise." Felicity raised her hand while grinning.

Sam listened to his mom and Felicity's conversation. He could not help but smile when hearing their exchanges. It appears that his mother likes Felicity's personality. He was also thankful to his mom for asking basic stuff to get to know more about her. "Like mother, like son. Great job ma!" his mind yelled.

"Hey! Don't forget about me! I am here." Sam complained. His statement made them laugh. Both women forgot about his presence. They had fun talking to each other.

After a few hours, the beef stew was finally done. Sam served it with freshly cooked rice and some steamed vegetables.

"Oh, time flies so fast. It's past seven-thirty already," Julia said as she checked the wall clock. "Louise should be awake by now. Sam, would you bring a bowl of soup to the guest room for Louise? Please also tell them to join us here for supper," Julia instructed.

Felicity volunteered to scoop the soup from the pot. "Aarrgghh.. Ouch!" Felicity blurted. She dropped the lid of the pot in an instant. Her finger got burned when she was about to open it.

"Let me see," Sam said, taking Felicity's hand and examining her burned finger. "We need to put this under cold water immediately." Sam led Felicity to the sink and turned on the tap, letting the cold water run over her finger. "Better?" he asked.

Felicity nodded, feeling the pain subsiding. "Thank you, Sam."

"Be careful next time," Julia reminded them.

"Let me handle this." Sam took over and brought the bowl of soup to the guest room. Sky opened the door. The latter thanked Sam for bringing the soup. Sam nodded and told him to join them in the kitchen for supper and left.

Felicity, on the other hand, called everyone in the living. Everyone gathered around the table, eager to try the dish. As they took their first bite, the flavors exploded in their mouths. Making them all smile with satisfaction.

"This is amazing, Sam! You're really talented at cooking," Felicity said, to which everyone agreed.

"Thanks, guys. I'm glad you like it," Sam replied with a smile on his face, feeling proud of his cooking skills.

As they enjoyed their dinner, they continued to chat and laugh. Felicity was grateful for the warm welcome she received from Sam's family. She felt like she belonged there. Fifteen minutes passed, Skylar and Louise emerged into the kitchen and joined them. It was a lovely evening that they would all remember for a long time. After the meal, Christa took charge of washing the dishes. Bobby and Reena volunteered to help. Others settled in the living room and continued their conversation. Furthermore, an improvement to Louise's condition beamed. She was like a phone with a drained battery that came back to life after getting recharged.

The night went on, they all took turns sharing stories and getting to know each other more. Felicity enjoyed hearing about Sam's childhood. And how he developed his love for cooking. Skylar shared his own experiences of traveling and his passion for photography. Julia talked about her work as a philanthropist and how she wanted to help people in need. It was a night full of laughter and warmth, and Felicity felt grateful to be a part of it. As the clock struck nine o'clock, they all bid each other goodbye, feeling content and happy. The Silva family walked the rest of the group out the door.

"Thank you Auntie for welcoming us to your home and for the delicious meal," Peter said. Julia nodded and smiled. She reminded them to be cautious on the road, since all six of them would be in one vehicle.

"Sky, Peter, eyes on the road, okay?" She reminded the drivers. She learned that the two lads would be taking turns behind the wheels. Both nodded with a reassuring look on their faces. "I'll get going first. Sam and Christa make sure to lock the doors when they leave," she added, and entered the house afterwards.

"Sam, I really had a great time today with everyone. I appreciate the food you served us. Thank you," Felicity remarked when they got a chance to be with each other.

"Me too. I am overjoyed being with you today, Effie," he responded.

"Goodnight, Sam," she said and suddenly tiptoed over to plant a soft kiss on his cheek. She then waved at him and walked towards the backseat. She turned around and smiled at him before getting inside the car.

Sam stood still for a few seconds trying to process what had happened. Mixed emotions flooded his entire body. He could not explain what he was feeling. It felt like time stopped and silence was deafening. His heartbeat raced, heat creeping to his face. He was like an ice cream melting from where he was standing after she gave that smile. Her image gradually faded. He turned around to search for Bobby and he giggled when he saw them.

Bobby was all smiles talking to his sister. Sam observed them from a distance. He noticed that their hands clasped together while conversing with each other. Suddenly, his best friend leaned over to his sister and kissed her forehead and then her hand. He did not see any resistance from her. His delight was all over the roof with what he had seen.

As they drove back, Felicity couldn't help but think about the kiss she gave Sam. She felt bold and brave for doing so, but at the same time, she felt nervous about how he would react. She decided to brush it off and enjoy the rest of the ride. Sky and Louise talked about their plans for the following day. Bobby's silence was loud. His hands all worked up on his phone texting Christa. While Peter and Reena chatted about their favorite shows. They dropped off the Kitals first.

Back at the Silva's house, Christa walked ahead of Sam in entering their house. She stopped at the doorstep when her brother spoke her name.

"Hey sis! I saw you and Bobby holding hands," Sam said, giggling as he walked towards her.

"Silence," her short reply, then turned her back on him.

"Come on! Can you give me an answer for once?" Sam groaned, holding his sister to stop her tracks. "I saw you two holding hands and he kissed you before leaving. You did not even resist. Does that mean you're offi——?" Sam's question was cut-off midway.

"Yes we are," Christa's brief reply, then entered their home. His brother did not see the smirk she displayed after closing the door.

She got the taste of freedom after admitting her relationship with Bobby. All these years, something that was weighing her down has finally been lifted. She felt proud, relieved, and joyful.

His happiness is over the moon. Christa's confirmation of her budding relationship with Bobby was a dream come true. "Yes! Finally! Woah!" Sam blurted. His happiness for the couple is something he could not put into words.
