She had the warmest heart and kindest eyes despite all of her trauma. Looking at her you wouldn't believe all she had been through in the twenty two years she had lived.

Her outlook on life one of the most positive which if you knew all she had been through you wouldn't expect.

She lived her life for those around her. She thrived on seeing those she loved happy.

Although she enjoyed her alone time, being in her own company.

After college she moved back to Seattle into her own three bed one story home, it came with a small garden that was big enough for sheltered seating and a barbecue. As well as a double garage, of which she had converted into a conservatory where all of her paintings, paint brushes, canvases, books, pencils lived. It was her place of safety, where she would escape .

She had studied art as well as literature and poetry. It was deeper than a passion for her, it was her coping mechanism.

Of course she still battled her demons but she refused to allow her previous hurt control the woman she turned into.

Her home was decorated modernly, with blacks, whites and greys, her living area, dining and kitchen were all one open room, all though it was very cosy.

One door led to the hall that had five doors leading from it, three being bedrooms, one being a large bathroom and the other being the cloak room.

Her room was the only room to have an ensuite, as well as doors that opened with a white rail around the outside to make a kind of juliet balcony for her.

Her bedroom itself represented her, grey walls with a mixture of photos, some being art others being personal images. Her television was mounted on the wall directly in front of her white wooden bed, of which had fairly light woven around the frame.

Beneath her television sat her small set of matching white wooden drawers, that being where she kept pyjamas, underwear, leggings and jogging bottoms

In the corner of her room sat her wardrobe where of course she kept her hanging clothes, placed beside it was her dresser with a large mirror hung infront of it, again lights were fitted along the sides.

She also had a small chair and a book case in her room, not forgetting the small cat post where the one love in her life spent her time.

She loved nature, picking wild flowers, she spent lots of her time sketching the wilderness. Hence the name Poppy for her beautiful ginger feline companion.

At age 5 she was found by social services, neglected, starving and abused. Instantly she was taken into the hospital where she was treated by the most wonderful woman, Meredith instantly felt safe with this woman.

After five months of slow bonding she found herself moving in with Ellis Grey and her husband John. They had always wanted a child of their own but found out after 2 years of trying that it wouldn't be possible for them to conceive.

Meredith became their pride and joy, she was such a ray of sunshine. Ellis had always been surgery driven but when this little girl entered her life she changed. She changed from cold hearted to warm, she took less hours and dedicated herself to her family.

The second she began her life with the Grey's she had a childhood that many wished for, John taught her to ride a bike and Ellis taught her to swim. She made that one best friend that she still had to this day, Addison Montgomery. They were inseperable.

They went on family holidays together, they loved the beach and the forests. They attended the same high school, but when it came to college Meredith left to Chicago and Addison stayed in Seattle as it offered the best training for what she wanted to be, a kindergarten practicioner.
