I walked down the path to school, yawning before being practically jumped on by Colby, him yelling 'boo'

"Haha, very fucking funny idiot, you know I don't like getting sneaked up on!" I pouted, crossing my arms like a child as a joke.

"Aww, poor Y/n, I'm sorry for hurting your feelings, would a hug make you feel better?" I sighed, him just smiling, arms outstreched like an idiot. I put my hand on Colby's face and pushed him away from me lightly "Piss off Colby, l don’t need your pity"

"Mhhh, fine, y'know, for a horror obsessed geek, you sure scare easily"

"Y'know, for a guy who wears chains to look edgy and fails miserably, you walk scarily quiet."

"I know, it's one of my many talents, also, fuck you."

"I didn't start shit Colby, plus you know I'm joking." Colby, my friend since Sam introduced us a while back. I met Sam during a school project a good few years back. We didn't really have any other long term friends, bar the few online friends we had "Did you see Chloe's message last night?" I asked, laughing

"Oh, her getting high as a kite? Yeah I saw that, Sam didn't seem too happy about it"

"No he didn't, made it funnier though"

"True" We walked into the school building, both sighing quietly as we passed Jacob, an old bully of mine who sometimes is just still a dick to me for no reason.

"Hey dickface, having fun with your boyfriend?" I just walked past, not even sparing him a glance whilst Colby glared at him, going to grab his shirt before I grabbed his hand, calmly trying to lead him away. Jacob's group of friends going 'ooh' because we'd walked away from him without acting. I knew him and his friend's would never actualy lay a finger on me. As we walked further away, toward our lockers we saw Sam, looking worried "You alright? I saw Jacob near you guys and thought maybe something happened?"

"No, we're fine"

"thank god" he seemed relieved to know he wasn't messing with us "God, sometimes I just wish he wasn't around, it'd be so much better without him harassing us, at least he doesn't do it often"

"You're not suggesting he should die are you?" Sam asks, obviously to be obnoxious and annoying me

"You know me Sam, being a geek obsessed with horror movies has its downfalls" I responded, smiling and shrugging my shoulders whilst playfully smirking at Colby, him mimicking my sentence with his hands and mouth tauntingly before flipping me off

"Indeed we do"

"So..."

me and Colby smiled at each other, a mischievous glint in our eyes as we brought up Chloe

"Chloe seems like she had fun last night"

"Don't even get me started."

"It's nice you worry, you act like a mother... don't worry, we won't tease"

I smirked before adding on "... much"

"Prick"

I just laughed, him trying and failing to glare at me before dropping the subject and continuing on something completely different

"Wanna come round mine tonight?"

"Sure, what are we gonna be doing?"

"Just watching movies"

I gasped, putting my hand to my heart "But that's meant to be for friday!"

I playfully fell into Colby, who looked confused as fuck before fanning my face with his hand, glaring at Sam

"You can't break the tradition Sam!"

"And I'm busy-"

"Alright, alright, we'll wait until Friday then"

He looked at us with disappointment, me and Colby definitely loved to overreact around Sam, it was funny to annoy him

"Good!" I got up, acting normal again and Patting him on the head, Colby smiling before looking utterly traumatized

"Oh god, Physics."

"Hm?"

"Oh shit, yeah, me and Colby have a Physics test first lesson"

"At least you have each other, I have maths, with the assholes."

"You'll be fine Y/n, just think about getting to see our amazing faces in english"

"God... I think I'll die before then."

"Please don't"

"Yeah, then we'd be alone"

"Whatever, assholes"

"You love us really"

I fake gagged "Love is a strong word"

"Touché."

I walked away, laughing at them while walking to maths

The rest of the day went by pretty quick, nothing more was said by Jacob, which is to be expected, so I was happy.

I walked down to the entrance of the school to hear Sam and Colby whispering something "what are you guys talking about?"

They chuckled, Colby's sounding more nervous as he put his arm around my shoulder

"Nothing important, just about Ash"

"Shit, is he good?"

"Yeah, obviously, he's just being a dumbass again"

"Oh god I don't even wanna know, i'll find out in my own time" I laughed dryly, fiddling with Colby's rings on his hand, deep in thought, I didn't exactly wanna leave but I knew I had to, my family wanted me home tonight "Okay, I should get going"

I let go of Colby's hand, him taking his arm off my shoulder before giving me a hug

"Bye dude, see you tomorrow"

Sam just waved, us smiling at each other before I walked off, Sam and Colby going in a different way together, probably going to the shop or something.
