"JADON CAN YOU EAT MY OLIVES?" KAMAIA tried to whisper, but failed horribly. Jadon only laughed at her in response, using his own cutlery to pick the olives off of her plate.
"At least we know the olive theory works," he said, eating one of the olives much to the girl's distaste.
"I don't know how you like those things, they're disgusting," Jadon only shrugged at her comment, sipping on the wine that he had.
The two continued to make small talk throughout the dinner, and Kamaia found herself heavily enjoying Jadon's company.
"So," Jadon started. "Have you figured out if you want to celebrate your birthday or not?"
Kamaia sighed, wiling her hands with a napkin. "I mean... you've kind of changed my mind."
"What was that? I didn't quite hear."
"You heard loud and clear, Jadon."
"Yeah, I did," he smirked, leaning back in the booth, the light clashing with his eyes, almost drawing Kamaia into them. "All you need to do is sit back and relax, don't worry your pretty little head about anything, I've got it."
That's just making me more worried, she thought.
"If you say so."
Kamaia leant forward, resting her chin on her hand as she sighed contently. Food could really change your mood ─── not even an hour ago she was cussing Jadon out for almost messing up her perfectly melted lace when he put his hands in her hair, and now she was giving him those eyes.
The duality of women.
"You've got a little... Wait, come here," Jadon motioned, before reaching out to wipe away some of Kamaia's smudged lipstick from the corner of her mouth. She tensed at the feeling of his thumb brushing her lips, which of course didn't go unnoticed by Jadon, who smirked to himself at her reaction.
He let his hand linger on her chin for a few more moments before clearing his throat. "Ready to go?"
