Koänä tightened the strap that held some of her and Trítön's things onto O'tekare's.

She smiled, gently stroking her ikran's head and moving toward her and Trítön's families. They had all gathered along the beach to say goodbye to the couple, many of the villagers behind them watching and shouting their goodbyes.

" You sure you got everything?" Jake asked Koänä for the millionth time, looking past her and toward O'tekare to double check. Once he heard his oldest child's laugh Jake looked back at her and raised his eyebrows. " What? Am I not allowed to be a worried dad all of the sudden?"

" No one said that," Koänä chuckled as her head tilted slightly to the side. " I'll be back before you know it, old man."

Jake rolled his eyes and turned back to give his children, who were all laughing at that, a playful glare which made them all look in different directions. Koänä smiled at her father and he exhaled slowly.

" Yeah, okay, get in here." He brought her in for a hug, closing his eyes and trying to hold back his emotions, but he couldn't help but feel so sad. His eldest, his baby girl, was growing up and leaving the nest. She had found herself a guy who genuinely made her happy - which Jake could not be more thankful for - but it still upsetted him to no end knowing she isn't his little girl anymore.

" Try not to miss me too much while I am gone, yeah?" She mumbled to him, pulling back from the hug. Once she received a nod from her father, the girl smiled again before moving onto her mother.

Neytiri shamelessly wiped some tears off of her cheeks before bringing Koänä into a hug. The mother held onto her daughter's head and whispered a prayer over her for safe travels. Koänä leaned up and kissed her mother's cheek.

" Oel ngati kameie, my daughter. " Those three simple words brought tears to the girl's eyes and she repeated the same words to Neytiri.

Tuk and Kiri both ran up to Koänä crashing into her and hugging the girl tightly. Their older sister laughed lightly and wrapped her arms around them, holding them both close to herself. She could hear the small sniffles coming from Tuk and so she let go of Kiri for a moment and kneeled down to Tuk's height.

" Do you have to go?" Tuk whimpered as she tried to hide her face from Koänä by looking down at the sand.

Koänä frowned a bit before gently grabbing Tuk's face and making her look at her. " I will be back before you can even miss me, my little love. Okay? I promise. " Tuk nodded and the eldest sister got up, bringing them both back in for a quick hug. " I love you both, and I will see you soon. "
