You stood there, listening to the offers of each god, but deep down, you knew that none of them were right for you. As much as you appreciated their attention and the things they could offer you, your heart already belonged to another.

"I'm sorry," you said finally, "but I cannot accept any of your offers. I have already chosen someone else."

The gods looked surprised and intrigued. "Who is this person?" Hades asked, his dark eyes gleaming.

You took a deep breath, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "His name is Ares," you said, your voice barely above a whisper.

Poseidon raised an eyebrow. "Ares? The god of war?" he said incredulously. "Why would you choose him?"

You smiled, feeling a warmth in your chest as you thought of Ares. "Because he's the one who stole my heart," you said simply.

Zeus chuckled. "Well, we can't compete with true love," he said. "But we will always be here if you need us."

As the gods faded away, you felt a sense of relief wash over you. You had been hiding your love for Ares for so long, and now that you had finally revealed it, you felt a weight lifted off your shoulders.

Later that night, as you lay in bed, you thought about Ares and how much he meant to you. You had met him on a battlefield, where he had fought with such ferocity and passion that you couldn't help but be drawn to him. He had taken you under his wing, taught you how to fight and defend yourself, and slowly but surely, you had fallen in love with him.

You thought about the times you had spent together, the battles you had fought side by side, the moments of tenderness and passion that you had shared. You knew that Ares wasn't perfect, that he could be impulsive and hot-headed at times, but you loved him all the same.

The next day, you went to find Ares, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. When you finally found him, you took a deep breath and said, "Ares, I need to talk to you."

Ares looked up, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. "What is it?" he asked, his voice gruff.

You took a deep breath, feeling your heart race with anticipation. "I know this may come as a surprise," you said, "but I love you. I have loved you for a long time, and I want to be with you forever."

Ares looked stunned for a moment, then a slow smile spread across his face. "I love you too," he said, his voice low and husky. "I have loved you since the day we met."

You felt tears welling up in your eyes as Ares took you in his arms, holding you close. You knew that this was where you belonged, in his arms, with him by your side. As you looked up at him, you saw a different side of Ares, a tender and loving side that you had never seen before.

Together, you spent eternity loving each other, fighting side by side in battles, and exploring the world around you. You knew that you would never have the power or immortality of the gods, but with Ares by your side, you had all the love and happiness you could ever want.
