NATHAN'S P.O.V

I held Beth's hand in mine, swinging our arms slightly.

I was happy.

I didn't feel on edge any more. No one knew who we were.

They didn't know that she used to be my student, and they didn't know I used to be her teacher so there was no problem.

They didn't know our story, they didn't even know our names.

"Where are you dragging me too?" I chuckled.

Beth shrugged and giggled. She looked happy as well.

Well, she did. Until her phone started going off.

I looked over at her and frowned slightly.

"Is it Jay again?" I asked.

She shook her head and mumbled "It's Lizzie."

I sighed quietly. I knew Beth would miss Lizzie the most out of the people we had left behind.

"I don't know if to answer it." Beth sighed quietly.

"Go on, she's probably worried about you." I smiled slightly.

Beth nodded slightly and held the phone to her ear.

"Hey Lizzie." She sighed again.

I rubbed her arm lightly and kissed her cheek gently.

Beth turned to face me and pressed her forehead against mine before closing her eyes and mumbling.

"No, I'm fine. I couldn't be better."

I smiled and kissed her lips gently.

"How did you know I was with Nathan?" she asked nervously.

I widened my eyes as I listened. Surely Lizzie wouldn't drop me in it?

Not if she wanted Beth to be happy.

Beth sighed, sounding like she was relieved.

"I know Lizzie, thanks." Beth smiled sightly.

She may have been smiling, but she looked sad.

She turned away from me and mumbled something quietly before hanging up.

"Is she okay?" I asked, though all I wanted to know was if she'd told anyone that Beth was with me, even though they didn't know where we were.

"She's fine. She just wanted to know if I was okay." Beth smiled slightly, turning around to face me.

I nodded and kissed her forehead lightly.

"I love you." I mumbled quietly.

Beth's face instantly had a grin spread across it and her eyes lit up, showing off the amazing shade of blue that they were.

"I love you too." she smiled, before standing on her tip-toes and pressing her lips against mine.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her close to me as her arms went around my neck, playing with the bottom of my hair.

I'd never felt this way about anyone.

I'd loved someone before, that girl I'd written 'High and Low' for, but this was different. I loved that girl, but I was actually in love with Beth and I don't know what I would do if I ever lost her, she was my world and I felt empty when I wasn't with her.

But when I was with her I felt complete, and I know that sounds cheesy but I really didn't care.

I had never felt this way about someone before, and I don't think I would ever feel this way with anyone else.

I pressed my forehead against hers and smiled as I looked into her eyes, happy to see that they were shining, that meant she was happy.

I held her hands tight in mine and grinned to myself.

"What are you so happy about?" she giggled.

I shrugged my shoulders and grinned again.

"I'm just happy I've got you."

Beth sighed quietly and moved away from me, as a confused look spread across my face.

"What?" I asked, frowning slightly.

"Nothing." She mumbled before walking off quickly down the pier.

I sighed heavily and followed her before grabbing her wrist and making her look at me.

"What's wrong? You were fine a minute ago." I frowned.

"You said that you're happy you have me, but if we wouldn't have got together then you wouldn't have had to run away from everything." Beth mumbled, looking down at her hands.

I put my hand under her chin and forced her to look up at me.

"I have no regrets about what's happened between us, no regrets at all." I told her.

Beth smiled slightly.

"I mean it, there isn't anything to regret. I love you, and I'm so fucking happy that I met you Beth." I muttered quietly.

"I love you." She grinned, messing up my hair.

I chuckled and fixed it.

"Fancy a swim?" I suggested.

Beth raised her eyes.

"I didn't bring anything to go swimming in."

"Neither did I." I told her, a small smirk appearing on my face.

Beth rolled her eyes but giggled.

"Come on then." I grinned, taking her hand in mine and walking with her back on the beach.

"Oh shit." She mumbled.

"What?" I asked, looking over at her.

"I just remembered I can't swim." Beth giggled.

I chuckled slightly.

"Well, I won't let you drown then." I promised.

She nodded slightly, a scared expression spreading across her face.

I kissed her forehead lightly and dragged her hand towards the sea.

After quickly taking just our shoes off, we walked in.

Well, I walked in.

I had to kinda drag Beth again.

"It's freezing." she giggled.

"I think that's the point." I chuckled.

Beth rolled her eyes but smiled slightly. The water was just above my waist, and just under Beth's shoulders as she looked up at me nervously.

"Stop worrying, you're not going to drown." I laughed.

Beth giggled nervously and wrapped her arms around my neck, as mine went around her waist.

I pressed my forehead against hers and smiled as her eyes glittered.

"I love you." I mumbled before I kissed her gently.

"I love you too." Beth replied, a grin growing on her face.

Beth started shivering and she soon turned pale.

"You okay?" I asked stupidly.

She nodded slightly, but instantly got out of the water.

"I just feel a bit off." she smiled faintly.

Beth didn't look well at all.

"Come on, we'll go back to the hotel." I mumbled, grabbing her hand in mine.

Beth nodded once, but stayed silent.

I was worried now.

Really worried.
